Reports claim that Adam has played his last game for Stoke, whether being a makeweight in the Chester deal or not. Scored some special goals notably the winner against Man U but it looks like he won't pull on the red and white stripes of Stoke City again!

He's undoubtedly got good technique and a great strike on him. But that is massively outweighed by his gobshite personality and appalling fitness levels for a professional footballer. Couldnt wait to get on talksport and talk openly about stoke news from within the camp, and his comments last week were baffling considering there is a strong case for him being a large contributing factor to us going down last season.
Bye Charlie.

Many fabulous moments
Good luck Charlie. You'll be remembered more fondly than that Austrian Cunt by me.

Can’t wait for him to leave Stoke. Biggest single reason why we got relegated last season.

Not sure I'll recover from this one.

Good luck to the guy. I quite liked him. He was past his best, but he gave his best. He tried a little too hard perhaps but I don’t know why people thing his leaving is like a new signing.

Good additions get you more points on the board come the end of the season. Selling Charlie Adam has the same effect.

Thank god, had his moments but he isn't conducive to decent football being played, generally speaking.

Can’t wait for him to leave Stoke. Biggest single reason why we got relegated last season. Absolute bollocks...... it’s been well documented by players and supporters that there were a number of work shy players who didn’t put a shift in last season. Charlie isn’t the ‘single biggest reason’ by a long shot Stay off the spice hey son...

Judging by SL&P's recent record this more than likely signifies a contract extension.

I agree, he did seem to try too hard in his later days. Just looked up his stats on wiki. He played 144 games and scored 18 goals for Stoke City which is nearly as many games as he played for Rangers, Blackpool and Liverpool put together. So a bit like Crouchy when he looks back on his career he will have been predominantly a Stoke City player. In many ways the most complete midfield player of our Premier League time. Certainly the most accomplished passer and our most assertive midfield player with the best finishing ability. Such a shame he just seemed to run out of gasoline in the last few years. I think that led to his frustration and and some of the fairly mad-cap on-field things he did in recent times. I wish him luck wherever he goes and with the media career which will no doubt follow.

I think other players should be moved on before him. It if this is true, I’ll always remember him scoring a belter against Man United at home in Hughes’ first season which I believe coincided with us running the table to a degree. Great win around December 👍

He has been a good value signing for us over the years but like a lot of squad needs to move on , great left foot but not athletic enough for many teams , having said that if he played every week would still do a decent job for the right formation but he is no use as a bit part player.
All this rubbish about him costing us relegation is laughable sure he was a part of it but in the allocation of blame he is well down the list of suspects .

Good signing and gave his all every time he pulled on the shirt.
If anyone can provide me with stats that he ran less than any other PL player then I'll bow to your opinion that he was unfit and lazy.
BUT
I will never ever forget that fucking goal against Chelsea. Wow.

I think his comments about Shaq last week were perhaps a way of riling a few people at the club to get things moving along. I must be the only one who interpreted his comments about Shaq about his general attitude not so much performances. Everyone then goes Charlie did this Charlie did that but if Shaq didn't give a shit about other players and lorded it over them (billy big bollacks) that was probably what he was alluding to and bad for the squad.

It's a shame as he was quite a capable player and scored some massive goals. That said I cannot respect or back anyone that's getting paid their wage that lets themselves get into the mess Adam has over the last year or so. It's a disrespect to himself, the club and his profession.
