Gifty that is bollocks. He made two saves after letting Leicester back into the game that any competent keeper expecting to go to the World Cup should have made. His balls up on crosses cost us an additional two points at West Ham, a point at Bournemouth , a point at home against Spurs and two points at home against Burnley. They were mistakes as blatant as Adam’s missed penalty and sending off. People moan about Federici but don’t see any issue with a 6 foot 4 inch goalkeeper failing to police the 6 yard box? That may be one of the reasons JB is hopefully still with us this year, and he rebuilds his reputation. Well bollocks it may be, but take them specs off and you will see differently.
Jack may of made errors but he also saved us countless times with world class saves, Charlie however fucked up a dozen times and never made up for them once.
If I take the glasses off, Jack was (by his standards) very poor last year and don’t believe me, take the view of an independent arbitrator. Southgate, who clearly believed that the person who 12 months earlier was widely seen as the Hart replacement, dropped down the pecking order and was even under pressure to keep his position as number 2. If he had been producing top class performances every week, he would have been the England number 1.

Absolute bollocks...... it’s been well documented by players and supporters that there were a number of work shy players who didn’t put a shift in last season. Charlie isn’t the ‘single biggest reason’ by a long shot Stay off the spice hey son... Arrogant bastard! By all means have a difference of opinion, but who the fcuk do you think you are little man to speak to anyone like that. Ain the meantime, a long lesson in good manners and a very long course in intelligent argument might just improve your responses somewhat. Look, I’m not going in for this tit for tat childish nonsense that goes on too much on here. If you come out with the statement like you have in your post, then I would expect people will have their word. I willlet you have the last word and then let’s move on heh.... Over to you because lifes too short.

I think the time is right for Charlie to leave, his ability to impact our games has dropped as the years have gone on. The fact he's growing his media career shows he's already planning for life after football.

But without him at Leicester we could of lost 5-0, he more than made up for his error. Gifty that is bollocks. Until Jack threw the ball into the net they were going nowhere
When he gave the goal away they went for the throat
I am convinced we would have won that game but for the error by jack

A hope to god we can fuck him off, our biggest liability the last couple of years and cost us how many points last season

All ways liked Charlie but not sad to see him go.
Wish him the best, and will always be pleased to see him revisit the best club he ever played for.

You've scored a few worldies for us and for a few seasons, you were the man who could unlock a defence. There are also plenty of kids at home with one of your tops on the wall. It should have ended a couple of years ago although we may then never have seen the full nelson on Sanchez which was quality. Cheers Charles

There was no middle ground for Charlie he was either brilliant and a matchwinner or awful and a liability. Unfortunately in more recent times the latter was all we saw. A good move for all involved. I can see him ending up at Rangers.

Just the latest in a long line of players coming to the end of their careers at stoke , he played for us like so many because he was flawed . Capable of moments of brilliance and madness . Had he been a world class player he wouldn't have left Liverpool. No need for all the unpleasantness . Good luck Charlie and thanks for some great memories

The fact he's growing his media career shows he's already planning for life after football. I disagree. His ability to impact upon our games grows stronger the more opportunity he has to get on the field. I mean just look at the Newcastle, Everton and Brighton games......plenty of impact.😂😂😂😂😂

Charlie is well past his sell by date now and we really should have got rid last summer. He's scored some cracking goals for us but his best days are definitely in the past. Time for him to move on and he goes with my thanks and best wishes.

Do you actually think that Delph gave a rat's ass about what Charlie said/didn't say? Do you think that when the offer was on the table from Stoke he turned around to his agent and said 'no forget it, Charlie says I should stay where I am'?! Not the point though is it stan Seriously, does anyone with half a brain cell think that Charlie 'discouraged' Delph???? Thats the fookin point

But a replacement would have found it hard to do any worse. 'Fact' means something that actually happened and all three of those incidents did happen. Even though I found it hard to believe my eyes at the time. So either admit that they are facts or live in a fantasy world, your choice. Oh by the way we did get relegated. It's a fact. They did happen but to say it's a fact that he cost us 9 points is complete bollocks..... as lordb has pointed out, we got a point Vs Brighton so your 9 points fact is a lovely tagline, but a complete lie. I agree 9 is a minimum figure.

Interesting...as soon as I change my profile pic to Adam, he’s rumored to leave. I wonder if it works on other players...I’ll take requests.

For me when he gets a regular run in the side he’s a bloody good midfielder. His left foot is fantastic. If he does go he goes with my best wishes.

Should of gone 2years ago. For me he’s gone hero to zero. He’s blaming everybody bar himself. The management;squad and board were all to blame for relegation. But Charlie was embarrassing last season and needs take a look in the mirror and not pointing the finger at everyone else. Roll on the new season.🤜

You should base any player on their whole time and the club rather than a single season. There has been many periods during his time where he has been excellent and has always cared when playing for the club.
Of course there has been moments where he has costs to club games and as he has gotten older slowed down and not been able to keep up with the speed of Premier League.
If memory serves correct a few season back there were calls for him to be named player of season. Time has come for him to move on but let's not have short memories.

No it’s not. I heard with my own ears. He told Fabian Delph he would enjoy playing for Stoke but questioned why he would leave Man City to join Stoke. He was probably right, but you don’t say that to a potential recruit. I wouldn’t put it past him discouraging a better player from joining Stoke because it would keep himself out of the team. He’s a sneaky twat and to actually admit it on the radio either means he’s really stupid or doesn’t give a shit. He didn't advise him not to sign for Stoke though did he? Not directly. However, the implication is obvious: “why would you leave Man City” is the same as saying “why would you leave Man City to join any other team?” Unless you think Delph was planning to give up football altogether, which is patently ridiculous.

He hasn't scored more than one league goal a season since the 2014/15 season. That's 3 seasons of pretty much nothing.
