Good signing and gave his all every time he pulled on the shirt. If anyone can provide me with stats that he ran less than any other PL player then I'll bow to your opinion that he was unfit and lazy. BUT I will never ever forget that fucking goal against Chelsea. Wow. I will never ever forget him trying to score it at least twice a game in every other fixture he ever featured in. He should have been fined every time. Even when it went in.

Probably a few years too late but then he's never been a starter when everyone was fit for us really has he? I still find it amazing that Liverpool built a team around him for a season.
If only a few, more able bodied players had his commitment last season, or if he'd laid off the Monster Munch and Maltesers he might have gotten to that Penalty rebound in time.....
His best game (and maybe Diouf' too) was probably the 6-1.
Very talented but probably a generation or two too late. He was tailor made for having a cigar and whiskey chaser at half time.

Many fabulous moments Good luck Charlie. You'll be remembered more fondly than that Austrian Cunt by me. Which one? A couple to choose from.

Can’t wait for him to leave Stoke. Biggest single reason why we got relegated last season. The board,Leslie & Lambert are the reasons why we were relegated last season, Adam if he does depart will leave us with some great memories but also with some excruciating ones as well. He probably should have moved on a couple of seasons ago but as became Leslie’s forte was handed a new contract ? I think it was brave of him to spill the beans in his first interview for 5 Live, because in reality he was committing professional suicide. But with his latest interview he must have known that this was like a kiss,n,tell story that talksport thrives on. One thing that I’d like to know is how was he on a midweek radio show when pre-season training is underway?

Lets hope and pray. Single handedly lost us 9 points last year and also advised players not to join us. Terrible ability and an awful attitude who's more focused on his radio career than his footballing one, and no surprise with that big tub of lard hanging from his stomach. The stuff about advising players not to join us is utter garbage. As is most of this post. Did you not see him on 5live?

Its time he went to be fair. He was becoming a liability IMHO. He's given some memorable moments and I wish him well.

We'll remember his exploits last season for ever but Charlie has always given his all for this club when others around him have hidden. Yes hes erratic in the tackle and has done some silly things on the pitch but he was one of few players in recent times to try something different, try a through ball, take a shot outside the box etc and always played positively but the kids on here and numerous Stoke pages won't see things that way yet will tell you how a mercenary like Shaq was the best thing since sliced bread for turning up half a dozen times a a season, some comments are embarrassing regarding Adam but that is the social media world we live in I suppose.

I liked Adam, but for two seasons he’s been on the slippery slop to dead woodsvile. Certainly not with it last year. Falls into the dead wood bracket now for me. Cheers Charlie kinda glad you’re going but in a nice way, if that’s possible😂

I think hes comments on radio are making him a PR risk for stoke too.
Last season not good, previously he has been good for stoke, but its time for things to end.

Assume you heard him on 5Live talking about his conversations with Fabian Delph. Certainly questionable the advice he gave from my listening I did hear it and some people chose to interpret what was simply an amusing aside as 'advice'. If you don't believe that and still choose to consider it 'advice' then you could hardly call it 'questionable' advice, Delph finished up with a Premier League winners medal and a World Cup 4th place medal. Questionable it most certainly was not, 'good' would perhaps be a better word !

He's long been a liability on the pitch and a disruptive twat off it. He should've played his last game for us a while ago.

Should he have been in the public eye building the next stage of his career? or focusing on the current career for the people who employ him currently. You kinda understand why Pulis was against players being active in the media.

Can’t wait for him to leave Stoke. Biggest single reason why we got relegated last season. Arrant nonsense. If we're looking for SINGLE reasons then he did cost us vital points at vital times, there were a mountain of other reasons too though.

Charlie Adam was a good player for Stoke, offered quite a bit for a few season. I still have fond memories of his impressive run of form at the end of 2014/15, when injuries to Ireland and Bojan left him as our only attack-minded central midfielder and he stepped up. But he has outlived his usefulness for far too long.
Lost all of his fitness. Has a disciplinary record to be deeply ashamed of. Scored two league goals in the last three season (only one from open play). For all the players in our squad that get criticised for being selfish and not tracking back, Adam is comfortably the worst culprit; offers nothing defensively (is only a booking waiting to happen when he can be bothered to try anyway), and is absolutely obsessed with wasting possession by taking on stupid shots. The fact that Joe Allen's midfield partner was almost exclusively Adam or Fletcher for the first half of last season was a huge factor in our relegation.
Delighted to see we now have a manager who might not be prepared to let our old boys trade on their former glories. Get rid, let Etebo and Allen form the midfield partnership, perhaps bring in a younger holding midfielder to add to the depth of the squad when needed. And move on; that's football, that's life.

There's 9 points in 3 games.
Any more for any more?

We got relegated following two years of chronic mismanagement both on and off the pitch, Nothing more nothing less.

All good things must come to an end. And some of them should come to an end sooner than they do. Charlie as a Stoke player, for example. Great news that he’s going if it’s true. Now let’s get Fletcher on his way too

Charlie has been a great servant for Stoke, but last season was a disappointment. The time has come to part company, but I will remember some of the magic moments made by Charlie with fondness. Good luck with the rest of your career.

Gif he aint the only one, will you say the same about Butland when he leaves. Double penalty save ? i thought the keeper made a brill save ,but yes charlie was slow to the rebound and i still think he was fouled and should have had a penalty Red card .yes very rash challenge but the ref was waiting send someone off, Rooney did worse the following week and got nowt ,Ref made no allowance for conditions the game only just started ,most it should have been was a Yellow Cannot argue about his crazy match ,he was a bit wild that day

The red was correct. Those two incidents sum him up for me. Unfit and stupid.
