There are plenty of successful women who don't need to bitch about males to get to where they are. Feminism is horse shit. Unless you're so stupid to actually think you're being held back by your gender.. Wearing a skirt won't do any harm either

How the fook have you jumped to that conclusion? Your bubble is very small in your world view of life innit? I'd say 3" from your forehead to the keyboard. I suppose things such as racism and sexism are boring and non existing in your world too.. She gets paid millions, no such need for feminism. Yanks voted Obama, racism is over! PLANK! There are plenty of successful women who don't need to bitch about males to get to where they are. Feminism is horse shit. Unless you're so stupid to actually think you're being held back by your gender.. cretin

Bayern, >95,000 posts suggests it is more than a passing hobby; more like a vocation. You are not alone - my better half keeps nagging me about the amount of time I "waste" on here. I only really focus on this after a match, which I think is fair. The rest of the time it's inbetween doing stuff. I wear the fact that at least 80 percent of my ludicrous amount of posts are done during work hours as a badge of honour! In fact I'm typing this whilst sitting on the khazi having a poo I didn't want whilst getting paid for it. That's winning life ladies and gentlemen!

If only everyone was as great as you 2 there wouldn't be a problem. It's not about being great, it's about taking control and taking responsibility for yourself and actions. There's too much of this blame culture bollocks about. Great insight into how addictive people act there.

As the youngest brother of three we used to play cards all night long for change, pretending to be high rollers. You weren't allowed to go to bed until one or another brother had won their money back which was shit at 3am when you were at work at 6 doing a mould change.
For me I've seen a generation that has been raised on a dream of getting rich quick while doing sod all for it. Gambling is only part of this problem, a part of the dream , a path to a rich lifestyle that is thrown at you every day in the press and on the TV. It's this get rich quick attitude that is driving the gambling industry.
Those of you that are 50ish and remember paste sandwiches , cars held together with isopon , lino on the floor with a coal fire don't need me to tell them that we are ALL already rich.
When I get sent to hell the rich guy next to me won't be any better off than I am.

There's too much of this blame culture bollocks about. Totally agree about blame culture, although once an addiction takes hold you're usually past the point of being able to use self control and you need to seek outside help, so you guys are doing the right thing for sure. Please don't take this as me being patronising but do continue to keep tabs on yourselves, it's truly scary how fast these things can sneak up on you. Another thing that wound me up immensely about the Mail article is that for all her handwringing and cautionary tales of tragic suicides and lives ruined by gambling at no point does she bother to list the names or contact details of any gambling support groups or rehabs etc. It's all very well whining that the gambling industry should put more money into treatment but there is already quite a lot of addiction help out there ready to be utilised. Instead of pointing fingers it would be a lot more helpful to start reducing the stigma around addiction (along with other mental health issues, as I believe addiction falls into the category of a mental health issue) and actively promoting ways to get help.

The answer to Life's problems
Ban gambling -- ban drinking - ban smoking - ban swearing - ban everything that doesn't actually benefit the whole of society ( as defined by the moral majority ) Ban films that depict women as sex objects ( we are already close to wiping out gender stereo types anyway which will have both men and women obsolete )
Ban films with any violence at all
Censor anything controversially spoken ( whether as an opinion or comedic )
Or just let people get from the cradle to the grave making their own decisions - deciding on their own vices - rectifying there own errors- apologising where there behaviour has caused other grief
Isn't this just called living ?
There are those amongst us who are only interested in us existing
