He might look a lot better now that we have a mobile striker who will make off the ball runs between and behind the defenders and will give the midfield some passing options.

That's all well and good, but you can have a shooting target and not hit shit if you can't unholster your weapon or in Imbula's impeding predicament, tackle and win the damn ball in the middle to get those passes going. I like Gianelli's attributes a lot, and it might not be his attitude but his understanding and mental effort I think. He could use whatever go a hold of Arnautovic's drive and took it to the moon.

French journalist clams Bordeaux are interested. But Imbula doesn't seem to be keen to leave the Premier League (presumably meaning the Premier League wage packet?) behind... www.butfootballclub.fr/ligue-1/bordeaux/girondins-mercato-une-ex-pepite-de-lom-cible-par-gourvennec/On the lookout for a good opportunity in the middle of the pitch before January 31st, the Girondins de Bordeaux would have put themselves on the rows to welcome the former Marseilles and Guingampese Giannelli Imbula (Stoke City, 24 years) according to the journalist of RTL and L'Equipe TV, Bertrand Latour.
Under contract in England until 2021 and recruited for more than € 24 million in Porto, Imbula - who has appeared 14 times this season with Stoke - would not however be "very hot to leave the Premier League". The file looks complicated for Bordeaux.

Probably the last thing he, an the team, needs is people getting on his back.
That ain't gonna help at all!

Despite being a decent-sized club in French terms, even a team like Bordeaux are shopping in the bargain basement for 5m euro bargains and their wage bill is only about 2/3 of ours. If Marseille aren't interested, can't see anyone affording him. China? Can't see it. Maybe someone in the Gulf? Dunno how much longer we can pay him and Bojan around £130k-a-week if they're not playing though?

He's far too low profile for a Chinese club although £18 million is chicken feed I'd guess in the great scheme of things.

If we could get Imbula sold for a decent price then I think we could keep Bojan.

we can keep both regardless. We are not exactly short of money.

I still think he should be part of our plans, behind Allen and next to a midfield defensive destroyer.

He'll come good personally. Just needs to work a little harder and use his strength more effectively

It'd be depressing if Imbula left and the others stayed.
A complete failure of the manager.

If it's someone like Torino, it'd definitely only be a loan anyway, wouldn't it?
So maybe the Italians could have a go at teaching him some discipline.

Would finish the season off for me. Exactly mate, may as well fuck off on holiday until June so we can go out and buy more players who we can't fit into our team for stupid amounts. That being said, I definitely don't think he will be leaving at all today. He will learn to play as a complete player and adapt to eliminate holes in his talent and he will come good, very good in fact for us. (Then we can sell him for a profit to the Chinese haha)

The title hits the nail on the head... He won't come good unless he improves his attitude.
Football like a lot of things, is 51% attitude. Until he gets his attitude right it's not going to happen for him.
To be blunt is attitude is not as good as Adam whelan Allen and affellay, so he shouldnt be playing.

Slightly off beam his attitude is an insult to his team mates.
In particular if I was sobhi I would be fuming about going out onto the pitch, chucking my weight around, giving it a right good go and getting dropped, only to watch half hearted imbula get more game time than me.
In fact in those circumstances I wouldn't blame ramadan for insisting on a move.
If that happens then we are getting into the ridiculous
Just put 11 players on the pitch who want to be there sparky!

like Bojan a loan might do him good , he wont play much and would make room fora youngster on the bench , half a season in serie A might help him to grow up a bit and work or help us get a fee for him in the summer , great talent but you cant play that position in this league with his attitude

It'd be depressing if Imbula left and the others stayed. A complete failure of the manager. A complete failure of the player He refuses to put himself about like johnny eustace darryl russell etc etc all the way forward to Adam whelan Allen and affellay. And is therefore less use to us than all of those players That's his choice. I am certain sparky and mark bowen don't want him to behave like that.

There will be no way back for Bojan or Imbula. If a manager ships you out half way through a season, the players know the manager doesn't rate them. They are not 20 year olds going for experience or players coming back from injuries. There is a breakdown in trust, can't see anyway back.

I think he's talented (he clearly is) but he is massively flawed. How these flaws weren't spotted before he signed I don't know. I don't think questions need to be asked of the player but of the scouts/Cartwright/Hughes.
