Get Real. We're a lot better than the strugglers at the bottom we're a lot worse than the top 6. It's virtually impossible these days to do anything better so WTF do some people want !!!
Occasionally we will click and tonk somebody but in this League that's going to be a rare occurrence. Let's be thankful for what we have because as someone who's been there for the last 53 years I know it can be much much worse than this

The negativity about the performance will come from the fact that after 8 years in the premier league and many millions spent, we resorted to lumping in to the big man & seeing what happened.
It was abit better second half, but the first half was rotten.

It was the way we went about the win, not the result. (not in my opinion, 3 points is 3 points)
Against a Watford side with more injuries than squad members. (commentators mentioned 10 non-first team starters)
Fronting the old guard, benching the likes of Shaq, Afelley and Bojan, flat, almost boring to watch football.
There was absolutely no need to head into the game with such negativity from the boss.

We've got another game on Saturday and got 3 points with our 2nd string. That might be what he's thinking to be fair. Time will tell.

"Let's be thankful for what we ha-" Fuck off. Can't beat intelligent debate 🤔 Do you know how many times somebody has posted "Let's be grateful for what we have!" Are we not allowed to improve as a football team? We just have to be grateful even when there are clear problems with the team. There is nothing intelligent about that comment whatsoever.

Glad we won, but the football played for first 30-40 minutes was awful against one of the poorest teams to rock up to Stoke in a long time

Have to agree with the one guy on radio Stoke, that the score masked the performance which was very poor. We look unstructured , unfit and have no pace at all. We don't play well with five at the back mainly because we don't have anyone who can play wing back. The players look lost and pedestrian. A decent team would have turned us over tonight, Watford have the worst form in the league. I think we really need to get back to two wide players and a system the players believe in. Long term, Aff and Allen can provide the energy with a beast shadowing the back for.

The ones with flair and intelligence, the ones that make you want to go. The ones we deserve to watch. Instead we get boring boring Stoke. This week and next....probably the week after that. Then the good players think, fuck this, I'm off. Then we have none, and none want to join. Look at the bigger picture.

I don't think expect to beat teams like Watford 4 or 5-0. But I do expect some sort of entertainment. We didn't honestly play one bit of attractive football in that game, I couldn't wait for it to end.
What I also expect is for Hughes to want to progress. Now who can say that team selection thinks Hughes is progressing. It was a surrender to say that he doesn't know how to win a game of football while playing attractive football anymore, therefore we resorted to tried and tested tactic of long ball rubbish that is just about good enough.
By this time last season we had beat Man City, Man United and Chelsea twice. This season our biggest scalp is Watford- who lets face it, are absolutely shite.

We are not that much better than the struggler's at the bottom and our next league game away at one of those struggler's will be interesting.

It is not an inconsistent position to be glad we got three points and a clean sheet but acknowledge we played pretty badly against the worst side we've seen at the stadium in ages.
People saying we should be grateful for the 3 points are right, people concerned that we played shite are also correct.

Three points, but sorry, I came away disappointed. Not at all happy with the performance, again. This is bottom of the table garbage we are playing at this moment in time. Sorry if that upsets people, but I believe that I'm a realist, and the reality is, that was another poor performance against a very poor, injury hit side. Surely we are better than this!

I don't remember the last time we beat anyone outside of the Big 6 and people didn't get all sniffy about it.
I suppose in a way it is a reverse compliment to how good we have become but I don't like it much, it smacks of arrogance and our current status won't last forever.

Count the days to death then. Well, unless you're expecting an assault on the top 4 at some point, it's perhaps time to get used to it. I'm just reflecting on how I feel this season. It costs too much money and time not to be enjoyed. I only feel like we have a chance when we play the shit teams. And even then we don't make it enjoyable. We never show a killer instinct to get a 3rd or 4th goal As soon as we play a half decent team I'm worried. As soon as we play a top team I'm expecting a spanking.
