Answer: unless it was another absolutely abysmal team like Sunderland or Hull, absolutely not. Not in a million years. And that's the problem. A similar performance beat Burnley and will probably beat four or five others between now and the end of the season I would guess. Our performance v Burnley was vastly superior to that one tonight. In fact, palace away aside, that's the worst we've played all season. It was absolutely dreadful.

Can I ask a,serious question? Other than an absolutely abysmal Watford team do you think tonight's performance would have produced 3 points against any other premier league team? Your 'absolutely abysmal Watford team' were 7th last month and above us going in to tonight so 'yes' is the answer to that. Oh hang on, don't tell me, they saved the 'abysmal' performance for when they played us Lets revisit Watford at the end of the season. They'll be lucky to stay up.

Give me tonight over 26 minutes effort then 64 minutes of white flag against Liverpool any day of the week.

Lets revisit Watford at the end of the season. They'll be lucky to stay up. Keep it coming but you're a bloody chump mate I've been one of the most positive supporters of Hughes and the team of late but that was ghastly. An awful game between two awful teams. If that is going to be the norm and our approach from now on, Hughes can go for me. Dreadful football devoid of ability, inspiration and any form of enjoyment at all. It was like going back in time. If that makes me a chump, fair enough.

Enjoy the moment, it won't always be like this, we were a quarter of a century washing around in the wilderness between the old divisions 2 and 3 before this extraordinairy renaissance.

I was there for all 23 years mate but that has no bearings on the here and now. They are the worst side we've played since we beat wolves 3-1 in 2011. Being 7th 3 weeks ago doesn't change that fact. WBA are 7th now aren't they and they are toss as well.

Also a pal of mine texted me saying when he got to his car, his battery was flat...Why on earth didn't Hughes offer him a jump start.. Another pal of mine lost his keys to his house and had to climb a drainpipe to get in thru the bathroom...Where the fuck was Hughes with some ladders...I'll tell you where....North Korea teaching Kim Jong Un how to launch his nukes... Oh, and by the way, The Russians did not hack the US Election...HUGHES did... He also flew the second jet that hit the Twin Towers, but managed to escape dressed as a fireman...He is pure evil...

3 points no more no less. That is surely the slowest premier league team ever. Slow, old, disjointed and boring. Labours into a 2-0 lead and yet again tries to shut the game down inviting pressure from a god awful team. What can you say its definitely result is the only thing that matters football and fuck the fans. Pulis fans ought to love it like all our yesterday's have returned.

Typical premiership supporters I can't believe some of the comments on here and on Radio Stoke tonight We just beat a team who were above us in the League, we kept a clean sheet, we scored 2 and could easily have had 4 But that's not good enough anymore. We must wallop teams like Watford by 5 or 6. And In the process we have to play like a mixture of Real Madrid and Barcelona Get Real. We're a lot better than the strugglers at the bottom we're a lot worse than the top 6. It's virtually impossible these days to do anything better so WTF do some people want !!! Occasionally we will click and tonk somebody but in this League that's going to be a rare occurrence. Let's be thankful for what we have because as someone who's been there for the last 53 years I know it can be much much worse than this Rant over It's interesting reading the press reports of the match which generally suggest we played well "Mark Hughes will be encouraged by a convincing home performance" www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38440966

There certainly were some strange comments on Radio Stoke, Clive I think it was said we should spend the £24m been mentioned on the Italian Striker on Defeo, yes he's scored 11 but how many were penalties and would our style suit his style?

Playing that team, at home made me think Hughes was shitting his pants. Not great to watch, but I certainly won't be calling for his head. As has been said... Not only did his plan work, we kept a clean sheet
Still playing crouch and Walters all these years later is worrying but, proves they can still do the job....even if it's not pretty.
Would have liked us to play our game last night and let Watford shit their pants. We made hard work of it with that team selection.
Happy with the 3points, let's move on.
Oh, and our home support was embarrassing.....again!....you could hear a pin drop in that stadium.
Shame, shame on us all......
And another thing.....if you go for a piss at half time, stop flicking your penis up and down while in mid flow.....I got fucking soaked again last night.
It's embarrassing when I have to shout...."cos keep eet down yeaoth, arm getting fucking drenched here"
Piss heads.

Waiting to get off the car park everyone in the car burst into laughter at that moronic simpleton. Some people are unable to think beyond tomorrow. Nearly as stupid as the bloke who wanted to pay £4M for Grant despite it being widely publicised the deal has been agreed at £1.5 with £750.000 in add ons which is still having our pants down. Never mind he had a good game last night again.

Its a one-off game
When supporters arent happy with 3 points because of the "style" we played it in they really have become Premier League fannies.
Hughes has taken a step-back to get the organisation into the team and build confidence which was needed. We did it earlier in the season when he brought Cameron into midfield after we didnt win the first 6 games.
The problem Hughes faces is WHEN to put all/some of the flair players back in. He is struggling with the right balance but Im sure hes not thinking about playing Walters & Crouch up top for the rest of the season.

I understand peoples expectations being raised. The man who has done that is Hughes. He's lost his way, I get that, maybe he is feeling the pressure and went ultra cautious? As we have always been told, it's a results business. I can just imagine what would have happened if Hughes had played all his flair players and we got turned over. It's not like Shaq is pulling up trees every game. Calling other teams 'shit' and expecting to beat said 'shit teams' is exactly what most of us hated about the Prem in the first place. I'm not happy, but after the performance against Chelsea there are glimpses of a team that is certainly not regressing. I do think this window is Hughes's most important one of his Stoke career.

The football is boring as fuck, those of us who expect something more than ugly football have had to vote with our feet to get rid of one manager who couldn't care less about the entertainment value of what he produced. I hope it doesn't become necessary again. Lets face facts you lot who are satified with anything so long as we pick a few points will swallow whatever is served up to you no matter what.

It was as dull last night as I can remember under 'he who must not be named' and I can't understand for the life of me why we've changed our playing style from 18 odd months ago. We were playing Crouch and Walters up front probably 4 years ago, and as well as Crouch is doing at the moment that's hardly progress is it? Three points, but sorry, I came away disappointed. Not at all happy with the performance, again. This is bottom of the table garbage we are playing at this moment in time. Sorry if that upsets people, but I believe that I'm a realist, and the reality is, that was another poor performance against a very poor, injury hit side. Surely we are better than this! I said the same last night, and I got slammed by a few on here...!!!!! Happy with 3 pts, but the performance was Sunday league stuff...!!!!
