Why do you want a possibilty of Ryan or Crouchy getting injured? Forget about England.

But has Woy actually watched any Stoke matches this season? Will he pick a player he's chosen not to watch?

But has Woy actually watched any Stoke matches this season? Will he pick a player he's chosen not to watch? Maybe he's watched videos? Or approximately 1.35 seconds of Ryan on MOTD?

I suspect there's a nod and a wink understanding over at England. Ryan was involved in an incident that injured a Welshman and infuriated a Frnchman who both have more sway over what happens in English football than any non Englishman should. Before the incident with Ramsay he had been picked for his first squad. Since then... not true.the squad was actually announced just hours AFTER the Ramsey incident (27th Feb 2010) news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8541108.stm"The defender was visibly distraught by the injury to Ramsey, who was stretchered off and taken to hospital in an ambulance, and Capello delayed the announcement of the squad by 40 minutes to have a final discussion with his assistant Franco Baldini about Shawcross' inclusion in light of events at the Britannia Stadium" Basicaly, the incident (as far as Capello was concerned anyway) had nothing to do with his lack of inclusion in games afterwards, if it was then he wouldn't have been picked for the Egypt game.

I really want to believe Ryan will get a call-up today but I still can't see it happening. It'll be Gary Cahill, Phil Jagielka, Joleon Lescott and Michael Dawson. And as people have already said, including Michael Dawson on the back of 1 minute of action this season would be a total disgrace.

Oliver Kay just tweeted this: Fraser Forster and Ryan Shawcross in Eng squad for World Cup qualifiers v San Marino and Poland. Shawcross called up once by Capello in 2010
EDIT: Just been deleted, that's strange.

Celtic goalkeeper Mr Jon. Around midday StokieMatt Cheers for that stokelad. I hope he's better than Gordon Marshall No word on Crouch then? Mind you, Andy Carroll had 20 minutes of footy the other night so he'll obviously be a shoo-in

The only problem with this is that because they are world cup qualifiers there is less chance of him getting some pitch time. He should have called up for one the pointless friendlies at least then hodgson would have entertained putting him on the pitch.

"team-mate Peter Crouch is set for more frustration." That's put a bit of a dampened on things Not really, just enjoy the moment. If Crouchy keeps banging them in he will get a recall. Even if he doesn't, he's had his day. Bego Bosnia Cameron USA Shawcross England Huth Should be Germany, has had caps I think Wilson R of I Kightly No place Adam Scotland Nzonzi Should be France Whelan R of I Walters R of I Crouch ex England Not a bad lineup, but a Stoke England cap is really great news
