We just need Neil to take his finger out of his arse get a few results and let things settle down. A new volume of "The family twists again" would be horrendous this time I reckon. We're dicing with League One again. We are in Leslie oen effectively now no doubt about it , i a Italy dont feel changing th a manger will make a big difference hes clueless and always has been but martin and Jared have ruined us for the next couple fop years at least and put us in leagie one the next man hads thew worst mess ever to sort and he won’t start by getting 50 points Well said.

If Neil's team could match Lou's team for fitness that would be a start.

Wouldn't this appointment be exactly what some on here are accusing the board of doing in the past. Going for the "flavour of the month" manager Flavour of the month? Had anyone on here heard of him yesterday and he's managing a club that get the same crowds as Hartlepool at times. Were Lambert, MON or Neil flavour of the month? Just repeating what a number have called our recent past appointments.

I would bet good money that Stoke City are not the champ club who are monitoring him, because it's never us. We'll monitor stodgy British managers and you'll like it. My money would be on Watford, we're getting around manager change time for them Wouldn't this appointment be exactly what some on here are accusing the board of doing in the past. Going for the "flavour of the month" manager

1st goal, bae didn't close down the winger quick enough who crossed the ball into the box..you can see Pearson pointing to tell bae to close him down then berating bae after the goal for allowing s free criss j to the box... where again our defence didn't do there job.
2nd goal, goal mess. Could the defenders of blocked/cleared it, could Bonham actually see the ball, slow late reaction from Bonham,
Neil sort it out

With 18 new players I think we all expect and can tolerate inconsistency while players gel, what we can't accept is poor tactics, poor selection, poor attitude, and poor fitness

We could do worse than Brums John Eustace. T Getting any manager out of job requires compensation Are we in a position to do that? If we are then he'd be a shout If the brum owners want Rooney eustace will be available

This doesn't make any sense... If you only pay for the cheap option you get the cheap product. Should of spent proper money on a centre half and striker....Instead of arguing over the extra needed to buy the striker from wba we should of paid it and got a proven championship striker into our squad.. we spent so little net spend this summer we've tried to rebuild on the cheap again.

The net spend of the warchest was virtually nothing... not to spend a decent amount on a quality striker and centre back was negligence of the highest order.

We had a large warchest this summer, our net spend is virtually nothing.. he war chest is virtually untouched, we've filled our squad with European lower league players. What else did our board expect. TBF neither Ferencvaros or Basel are lower league. And our only scorer is from a newly promoted You get what you pay for.

We fans all knew we wanted a decent CB and a striker....why didn't the manager.....seemingly? Totally agree, I don't know if we were close to signing a top CB but we should of raised our offer and got the striker from wba..its clear our backup forward line is not up to the task.

I think we are in free fall. 3 defeats in a row without a goal. No away goal since April. How bad do you want it? AN and Coatesy have given Jared and Mad Rick free reign to sack the loyal staff and piss the summer budget up the wall in a spending spree using a pin and a blindfold when some pragmatism was needed. "Sack the loyal staff" The fan base asked for wholesale changes...and we got wholesale changes.. Sone of these loyal.staff as you say have been part of the decline in the last 5 years... How this season will go nobody knows but we all asked for a massive shakeup and that's what the board have given us.

Gayle - a poacher - couldn't poach an egg. Wonder if we should of paid the extra for the lad from wba...vidigal and mmae apart we look poor across our front line.

Drop him? Sell him? What you reckon? Give him a go in his best position a bit later on in the season. Shock horror....utility squad player from relegated Italian team turns out to be very average player...who'd of thunk.

Hate to say it but we need Gayle on. I'd get him on too However we simply have to pass the ball to each other 17 new signings and we're asking for Gayle to come on....we are desperate

For all the excitement over our flurry of unknown hidden talents unearthed by the genius of Jared and his scouting app.. it would appear the reason mid table stoke city could attract some of these players is because they are not hidden gems, just more mid table championship standard players.
Still have hopes for vidal, mmae, burger and bar... can those 4 carry us through the season?

Don’t like Rose over McNally. Also why did we sign two right backs and no left backs on deadline day to then play Leris there? Very strange. Leris has played there plenty hasn't he? He wasn't happy with mcnally in Preston game. Took him off after 2nd goal went in.

It's worth noting that along with Preston and Ipswich, Rotherham are out performing this year . They are 20 th , 4 places and just two points behind Leeds and Stoke , both clubs with massive budgets compared to Rotherham and ahead of Middlesbrough. Rotherham would take 20 th all day long. Boro , Stoke and Leeds are underperforming relative to their financial backing. Rotherham are fully punching their tiny financial weight. Perhaps, they know what they are doing? M’boro have an awful manager. Carrick was the one that many on this board thought we should of appointed instead of Neil. He was the next best thing, which our backward thinking board were to daft to approach....can remember saying at the time give him a year, a transfer window and a preseason and see where he is.. Maybe our board did know what they were doing and didn't jump for the latest media darling...

Didn't Southgate manage the team that beat them 2 nil in the last tournament meeting? That was pure luck/despite him Or some such Good results and performances are despite him Bad ones because of him Let's get a positive manager in like Eddie Howe or Jose I'm pretty sure your joking with your edge how and Jose positive managers line.. Happy fishing.

Do we really think these young 20 something millionaire footballers are really concerned by the Premier league, FA, EFL, SKY Sports and their "kick it out" love everybody, inclusion for all, wearing rainbow laces?.. of course their not. they do what their paymasters tell them, do we think the paymasters are really concerned by these issues?. No their not. But like the rest of the country they have to say the right things and do the right things to avoid being cancelled or told their racist, homophobics,
Jordan Henderson has gone to Saudi because it suited him and his family. And if this means his new paymasters telling him not to wear rainbow laces or take the knee. Then guess what.....he'll do what he's told.
The same as every other footballer, motd presenter, itv or bbc employees. The UK's hands are being tied up by political correctnes gone mad. And we will all live to regret it sooner than we think

Sometimes you can be too clever for your own good when it comes to recruitment. I said similar early on in the main transfer thread but can anyone honestly say we wouldn’t be a better side with Keane leading the line and not Wesley? (from what we’ve seen so far). I think we missed a trick not going for him, I hadn’t paid attention to the overall business Preston have done up until Saturday but I think they have a great chance of making the play offs….. I think if Keane was at Stoke, he’d have just stood there isolated wondering why he’s having to fight off two defenders and a midfielder while everyone else half-jogs towards him or stays routed to the touch line. Sitting near to the dugouts we could see AN constantly shouting to leris to stay wide throughout the first half everytime he dared venture in field

Man City fans didn't, Leeds fans didn't. But you think it's a good thing to not show up? You need to check out some footage over the years of Elland Road. They lost their fair share of support with fans not bothering with home games. Man City often dont fill their ground now.

Pearson is a top player but at the minute he looks off it for me I personally don’t think he looks up to match fitness yet so hopefully this 2 weeks will improve that I also dont think he looks really match fit, which is disappointing as he was one of our first signings so has had a full preseason with the fitness team. But still he doesn't seem ready for 90mins.

Neil will be under huge pressure, very very soon Think he's got to be given time to get so many new signings to gel together.. but he does need to find answers to breaking down strong physical and well organised teams. 2 games v Millwall and Preston 2 defeats. 0 goals.

Have only just seen this. Will do. I have had an immediate response from the Club. The Head of Facilities responds as follows “I have every sympathy with supporters who experience this. We spend an extraordinary amount of time each day on the lead up to every match and on a match day prior to supporters arriving on seat and terrace cleaning. We have tried sonic deterrents and have bird scarers fitted but we can’t use the scarers during the match and the sonic devices don’t seem to have much effect.
We also have the Hawk Man in once a month and I’ve recently been here when the Hawk has caught pigeons but unfortunately they just come back.
Believe me if I could resolve this tomorrow I would do.
Please tell supporters that we are constantly looking at ways to deter pigeons and other birds from entering the stadium bowl. We take this problem very seriously both from a spectator safety point of view and for our poor cleaners who have to deal with this on a weekly basis”.Try netting across the roof beams to stop them nesting, carry the netting on and drop between the 2 sets of supporters to stop ghe bottle throwers. Simples...

Remember getting nervous when they'd get the ball to him and that he was a bit of a shithouse. (Because there's no way that any of our players at the time could knock him down legitimately) Of course if he becomes a Stoke player, "shithousery" instantly transforms into "strategic play." We need to keep that in mind. Seems to know where the net is. (Probably an advanced Google user) Though like many Stoke supporters, the post traumatic stress over recent dealings with WBA does come to mind... Love a bit of strategic play.....as long as their wearing rednwhite. Super jonny Walters was a master strategist
