Just looked at the seats left online, seems loads left especially the bottom tiers of the Boothen End, probably more avaliable than sold. Plenty of seats empty in other parts of the stadium as well, should the club have offered reduced prices or are supporters not bothered. Thought the atmosphere at Hillsborough was superb, well done to Wednesday for selling out and also congratulations to the 4000 filling the away end. Strange we can't sell out for the most important home game for years. Congrats to you for starting this thread and kick starting sales. Let’s hope for a crowd of 25k+

Just watched the highlights package. Teams must love playing against us. We leave so many gaps and get caught out by the through ball far too much.

You would want to be subbed with 5 to go to get into that nice warm clean bath early. No showers back then

A team needs to be picked that isn’t going to lose. Winning is a bonus.

He inherited a shit show and we all know it’s hard to get the players you want/need in January. We need to stick with him and trust he can save us and build for next season. He does need to find the right team and stick to it as all this tinkering isn’t working. I’m sure it’s bloody frustrating for the players who will be nervous of making mistakes amid fears of getting punted for the next game. I’m backing SS. My only concern is that next season he starts poorly and we go through the same new manager dance again in October.

We need to keep him either way and start again. It’s going to take 2 years at least and we need to back him and rebuild.

We can win this. 2-0 down and we come back to win 3-2. Then the season begins

You can’t blame the manager. It’s the overpaid players he’s inherited that are to blame. He’s trying to give fringe players a chance and they haven’t taken it yet. Watching the highlights we should have score 3 easily..I think it was just one of those poor finishing games On another b day we would score 3 at

I stumbled across an interview he did with Simon Jordan. He had a tough upbringing and has admitted to making a lot of mistakes in his career.

I do understand the reasons for the new rule but it’s harsh being down to 10 men for 30 seconds after the opposition cause an injury and they remain at full strength. Maybe both players should go off to ensure there’s no unfair advantage.

I’ve watched the replay and it could have gone either way. Plymouth had a goal disallowed that should have stood against Southampton. In normal speed it looked fractionally offside but slowed down he was fractionally onside.
I can’t imagine how a linesman can judge when the ball is kicked and the players movement at exactly the same time unless he is in line with both. A through ball must be nightmare as your eyes have to watch the initial kick and then in a millisecond watch the receiving players position. A lot can happen in that fraction of a second. Weather conditions (sun/shadows/rain,light ) can also play a massive part.
I couldn’t do it and I applaud those that can

Hope it’s true that he’s back. Bournemouth must have someone lined up?

The two dugouts are scrapping! It's all because Spurs substitute Alejo Veliz has gone down with an injury and Bournemouth opted to play on. Bournemouth feel like Spurs' players are going down regularly. Poor old Bournemouth, what goes around, comes around You wouldn't fight Postecoglu would you? He looks a right rough bugger. Good old Aussie Ange. Love watching the teams he coaches and love to see Bournemouth on the receiving end of how they play the game.

Is Nathan Collins trying to play his way back to Stoke?😔 Two Howlers to give Wolves the game. Two great assists. Even told the Wolves lad where to run after laying him in for the 2nd Remember when Doddy came back to the Vic with Wolves and did us a favour to stay up? We won 4-0 from memory and it wasn’t his best game . I was there & I think he gave away a penalty to help us along..

Entertaining game. Lots of chances at both ends to be fair but we deserved to win comfortably. Hopefully the goal from Vidigal will boost his confidence and take him on a run as he could have got a hatrick today.

It’s the hope & inconsistency that kills you supporting Stoke (for over 50 years).Losing to the teams below you & beating the teams above you. After hammering Rotherham in game 1, I did think this could be a fresh start and exciting times ahead. Let’s hope It could still be.
My post below a few weeks ago:
“QPR, Plymouth & Sheff Wed. Taking nothing for granted but it should be 9 points and I’ll be happy with 7. Anything less than 6 and serious questions have to be asked”

Swansea sacked their manager. New manager bounce by time they play us. It could be two new managers by then so a bounce bounce draw

I had a white one in rye 70’s and I have no idea what happened to it. I’m living o’seas now but do people still hang their scarves out of the window on the way to games?

I was looking forward to seeing Vidigal v Silva today..prior to signing Vidigal I wanted us to sign Silva after seeing him play a big role in the 6-1 A league final in sydney. Not sure either are playing

Leeds very quick on the break yesterday & strong on both sides coming from 2-0 down to win. James & Summerville need to be stopped by the full backs whoever they are. I can see a low scoring draw.

I think there’s little option but to give him more time. Apart from all of the injuries playing Pearson, Laurent & Johnston together just isn’t working and needs to be stopped immediately.

Out of curiosity what are the rules regarding contact?
When Stuart Armstrong went down after ‘contact’ with Pearson right in front of the ref in the first half and he didn’t give it, isn’t that then a dive and a yellow? Had it been in the box would it have been a dive? I actually thought on the replay, Pearson touched him however are there different levels of contact options available to a referee?

As Albert said…
“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”
Unfortunately until we make some changes in midfield, I can’t see the results changing.
