Must be in the minority it seems as he's one of the new signings who I haven't been convinced with so far.
Couple of goals let in against Watford where he could have done a lot better, then against West Brom his positioning and command of the area was a concern. There were occasions where he looked all at sea.
He made a couple of few good saves against Plymouth, and barely had anything to do against Coventry.
Still not sure about him, but early days.

However just as Gibson doesn’t provide physically ( compare him to those man mountains the baggies had for instance) then so is Victor lacking in height . Ok Peter Fox wasn’t the biggest but a good keeper . But his height was nevertheless an issue . That he’s saved a penalty is brilliant as the one thing that always did my head in was watching Butland dive to his right . Perhaps he’s as good as Sorensen at saving penalties that would be a massive bonus . But it is an inescapable fact that his height will be exposed at times . |
