I like him. He reminds me a bit of Grobelaar. Will make the odd gaff but the good will outweigh the bad and he looks confident which is key.

Yes I think he's going to be a good keeper for us, better with his feet that I thought he was going to be.

Grobellar had more presence. This bloke is much smaller & not half as good, Too much roaming around for me.

He will be steady. We need a commanding CB to calm shit down. Hopefully that’s Gibson but he needs a good partner

Grant Iversen Sarkic Travers This Guy Bonham Butland
Would be my order. Gives me the heeby jeebies.
Imagine the defence will feel the same. From what I see our summer recruitment is a car crash.

He nearly got caught out a couple of times standing near the edge of his area when that cross ball came over. Had to dash back but by then it was too late.

First time I’ve seen him in action today. Have to say I’m worried! Don’t know if it’s the lack of pace in our centre backs but he was way too far out on numerous occasions today. Could easily have been sent off for the first half challenge outside the box. Will reserve judgment until it’s competitive football.

I've seen him a few times and to me he stands out as a superb shot stopper but a keeper that has spent most of his recent times, every other year, stuck on his line getting peppered every week.
He clearly isn't used to playing in a team with a high line at Rotherham, as they were probably a mid block at least when in League One, if not a low block even then.
I think it's going to take some time for him to get used to it.

That goal though. What the fuck was he doing out there!!?? It was a ridiculous finish though, if he doesn't lob him he saves it and everyone's saying hes done well to close down the angles, though he was good, caught crosses and his yellow card was never

Why does every new goalkeeper get slagged off on here after 3 games?
Travers people were calling him out from the off, then were devastated when he got recalled.
Iversen was getting pelters on here for weeks, being called worse than Bonham etc
Now the knives are out for Vik, after a few preseason games, despite him proving for the last few years to be one of the best keepers in this league.

I think Johannson will be fine. Sometimes it takes a bit of time for a goalkeeper to build up an understanding with the defence. I seem to remember Iverson looking a bit shaky in his early games.

Was a disaster today. A high line with two slow central defenders is crazy, but even worse when our two fullbacks both are out of position too! I would at least tell the two fullbacks that one of them had to stay back in position when the other went forward to have some defensive balance. I've never played at a high level myself, but still I have played under the best "manager" in Norway. He alway was a 4 3 3 man and played this system with Rosenborg during all his years there where they won everything numerous times in Norwegian football. He also had reasonable success in Europe beating clubs like Dortumund, Real Madrid, AC Milan etc. He always told one of the fullbacks to sit back, at least in tight games.

Thought he was pretty poor, needs to calm down. At fault for goal and probably have been sent off in a league game for the first half rush of blood. Hopefully will settle and improve

Talking to some Rotherham fans here on holiday and they said he likes to come out of his box lot but usually gets it right.

He’s looked shocking so far, let’s hope he gets his act together for the weekend because he’s going to need to be at his very best to keep the score respectable😉

I'll repeat myself
Johansson is the best keeper we have had since relegation
For example Travers wasn't bad at all but Vik is better at every single aspect of goalkeeping
He's a fantastic signing

We haven't played any tight games or games of any importance yet. Certainly last season Hoever got up the pitch a lot more than Stevens when we were playing well at the end of the season. You certainly can't let them off the leash on both sides with only one deeplying midfielder.
