I'm beginning to wonder if he'll get player of the season at two different clubs and getting relegated consecutively. OS. We're absolutely shagged if he gets injured.

Great plan Simkin is very highly rated. So was Bursik. I've not seen anything of Simkin, but there's a long way to go before we can start making real plans for him.

Same for most Championship teams, despite the criticism of Bonham I’d argue he’s better than a lot of teams first choice keepers. Derby had a good one yesterday mind, as did Sheff Utd in Cooper……

Does anyone see Bonham making the type of world-class saves Vik is pulling out of the bag every week?

Bonham is a more than adequate back up and as good as a club in Stoke's position can hope for. We are lucky that he is happy to hang around. You won't get even a Championship top quality gk to sit on Stoke's bench.

I really like Johansson but he should have saved Campbell’s effort for example, so nothing’s perfect. I’m not suggesting Bonham wouldn’t be a downgrade on Johansson but he’s about as perfect a number 2 you could get. The alternatives are a young kid, or a player on a higher wage potentially pissed off at their lack of game time….

Why, when we finally get a decent keeper, are people fretting about us selling him after playing 13 games for us?

Superb keeper. I believe he's premier league quality and hope he's under the radar. If he continues to improve, offers will come in.

Only thing is they might be big but they are pretty poor footballers so it’s hard to judge personally i feel post the koumas sub a hull or Bristol city or better would have had plenty of shots

Keepers go for crazy money, just look at Ramsdale. The Derby keeper looks a good prospect as well. I love Johannson, great character and much better with his feet than I was expecting.

Viktor is an excellent keeper . Travers playing really well at Bournemouth and helped them beat Man City & Arsenal.

Defence were all over the place today you can’t just blame Viktor. He will definitely pull us out of the shit more times than he makes mistakes this season. Best keeper we’ve had for years. Fucking hell he is. I'd be surprised if we don't see Bobham before the seasons out. 🤣

Johannson has been a huge disappointment so far.Dont rate him at all. With him and Bonham we have a very weak goalkeeping department oh no

I think it's still a bit early to judge to be fair, he was definitely at fault last week but I dont think so this week Here's hoping anyway At fault for the first goal in the sense that he is too small to be a top keeper . As a result of his being too small he flapped at the cross and didn’t deal with it . The fact is Bonham would as he is several inches taller . Sad fact is Bonham is the best keeper we have on the books by a country mile this might be the best post this board has ever seen

He’s shit.
Overrated.
Never a PL keeper.
Not sure why anyone would sign him.
Plenty of better keepers out there.
And in case anyone is still tempted, I’ve heard he kicks cats in his spare time.
Steer clear is my advice to any potential suitors.

why do some people on here find it necessary to flag up historical posts of others trying to make them look like idiots in hindsight.
What kind of pastime is that?
Really childish.
This forum is about opinions. Opinions can change, amyone can say something that later seems over critical or even misguided.
So what if someone thought the goalie wasn't great at first impressions.
Should they put in stocks and humiliated in the village square.
This kind of smug 'know-it-all' arrogance really pisses me off tbh.
Doesn't make the posters who do this crap look clever at all, if that is the aim.

Imagine how many goals he would let in if we had a half competent defence and midfield in front of him.

Sir Alex Ferguson once said "A great goalkeeper is worth 15 points over the course of a season."
I think we've finally got one of those on our hands.
Although ours is a step up from "great".
Hes maybe worth 30 points a season.
