Why, when we finally get a decent keeper, are people fretting about us selling him after playing 13 games for us? They’ll be the same people who were fretting about us selling Andre Vidigal this time last year. I could smell a fraud a mile off with Vidigal, don't put them in the same boat.

Was the time spent flagging up this old post really worth it? I find it funny and interesting. No judgment to anyone who posts an opinion that turns out to be premature, please pull up any of mine! It's just fascinating to me to remember the "storyline" of how we see players if that makes sense? Now I'm dead excited about Seko but remembering how I felt about Vidigal got me a bit nervous. In Vik's case it's a happy story and I'm thrilled for him.

My two best all-time saves from a Stoke GK used to be (1) Banks v Pele World Cup 1970 and (2) Banks v Hurst league cup semi final penno 1972. Those saves are now nos. 2 & 3, my new number 1 is Vik’s save midweek at Blackburn, the one which nearly flew into the top corner with pace & swerve if it hadn’t been for our GK

You are just being silly.

hes just one of those who seems like he really enjoys it all so regardless for stoke or whoever, its a pleasure to be entertained by a keeper who loves throwing it about and does it for the footy and the enjoyment.

Banks is one of the best goalkeepers the world has ever seen (if not the best). As good as he is Vik has got some way to go yet. That's not to say those two saves against Blackburn weren't fabulous saves in an all round fantastic individual performance.
