Clive Tyldesley went full Nige last night calling Di Lorenzo Carvajal for about 5 minutes.. he's got a pair of bollocks though so it's okay 👍🏻 Ooh don't start me on Clive bloody Tyldelsley ! IMO he's the most annoying, sycophantic, cheesy commentator out there. He perfectly sums up ITV football coverage, along with Pougatch - they're absolutely abysmal ! Glad im not the only one re Tyldelsley awful commentator , " it"s Roooooneeeeeeeeeeey  |

Thinking about this some more, the female commentators that I have heard (commenting on the play by play when the game is in progress) do nothing beyond annoying me. On the other hand, one of the best studio commentators that I have ever heard is Rebecca Lowe who broadcasts for NBC and USA Network (only in the US)......very polished, great knowledge of the game, enthusiastic and runs a tight show.

I must have incredibly high tolerance levels?
The only ones that annoy me are the ones who are clearly generic TV people rather than genuinely interested football and maybe there's a higher percentage of females who are on for other reasons?
Anyway Ellen White is an excellent pundit
I think my favourite atm is McCoist, still uses loads of clichés but such easy chap to like

As others have said Ellen White is really good as a pundit, the one that winds me up a bit is Jill Scott trying to be funny and one of the lads. Everyone knows women aren’t funny unless they fall over in high heals😉

Robbie Mustoe also the best pundit on TV for me does a lot of games in US TV Always enjoyed the commentary of the studio team.....Rebecca Lowe and Robbies Earle and Mustoe.....which recently has expanded into a larger studio crew. Also like the play by play crews. Rebecca Lowe's father was a BBC announcer. She has a real enthusiasm for sport and can go from covering a Premier League game to the Kentucky Derby seamlessly. |
