I'm up in Middlesbrough with work so I'm going to go to the Whitby Town v FC United game tonight rather than site in the hotel and drink 6 pints on my own. Been past the ground many times but never in it so looking forward to it...... Decent little ground at Whitby. Called the turnbull ground, almost feels like arbroath as its just off the north promenade.

I went Whitby Town at Easter, a couple of years ago.
Started at the Whitby House Inn overlooking the golf course, then walked along to the cricket ground (next door to the ground) watched the cricket for an hour or two and then to the match.
Great day

Leek v Stalybridge today, which will be really tough game with Celtic looking at the Play Offs. Should be a decent crowd, before a trip to Newcastle Town on Monday afternoon.

Two great results today.
Leek won at an absolute canter, beating an in-form Stalybridge 3-0 and all but wrapping the league up. Great football, great weather, and almost 1000 there to witness it. The best thing is the culture and environment that manager Josh Brehaut has created - lads love each other's company, are by far the fittest team in the league, play great stuff, but the drive to keep and improve standards is immense.
Would love to beat the 1000 attendance mark in our last two home games - April 13th and 27th, and if Prescot don't win tomorrow, we are Champions!

A good 1-0 home win for Stafford Rangers against Workington this afternoon - the 'Miracle of Marston Road' escape from relegation is still just about on. Pressure keeps up though as they are away at Gainsborough on Monday.

Just come back from Bury v Wythenshawe. Massive 6 pointer in front of 4212 fans, Wythenshawe scored a penalty in the 100th minute to make it 1-1 which was a sickener.
Very tight at the top with only 1 team guaranteed promotion and the Wythenshawe derby is on Easter Monday:
Wythenshawe Town P 42 PTS 86 ------------------------------------ Wythenshawe P 40 PTS 84 Bury FC P 40 PTS 81

Just had a quick look at the fixtures and Staffords fixtures are more favourable than Basfords who have to play Macc and Radcliffe...I am keeping everything crossed for you boys🤞

Is it 1 straight then a playoff?? Weren't Bury clear at one point??

They'll go into the Northern Premier League West if they go up. They had 3 points deducted and went 3/4 games without a win which has pegged them back massively........

Its a shame Basford won, at one point it was 1-1 between them and Atherton, which would have put us 1 point from safety, but we stay in touch. Over 700 in attendance today another good gate considering the situation. ITS ON.

I was at the Prescot game which ended 1-1 with a late Prescot equaliser to mathematically keep the title being open but 28 goal difference in favour of Leek.

Pffft - you better keep everything crossed still !

Gutted for you mate, I kept my eye on the scores today...or tried, along with your league Stoke and watching the Leek game...as we were at Newcastle today and Crowned CHAMPIONS! So pleased for everyone involved at Leek and especially the fans, some follow them everywhere and will do next season I am sure but what an effort from Leek Town 17 points clear with 4 games remaining!

Barnton 4 -3 Winsford yesterday, had a minutes silence before the game for a 24 year old Winsford player who apparently died in his sleep on Friday night, puts other things into perspective a bit

Massive congratulations to any Leek fans/followers on here, really deserved it after numerous play off heartbreaks, great little ground and deserve to be further up the pyramid.
As for Stafford, Basford winning leaves us 6 points from safety, i feel it’s too much now, hopefully Cooke stays and we can rebuild in the summer and really go for it with big crowds again.

Cheers pal, I will take you up on that! The great escape is still alive👍 Looks like it is still on, and so might be your pint. A win, a clean sheet and crucially Bradford Park Avenue beat Basford so the gap between the latter and Stafford Rangers now only 3 points. Supermassive game now next week against Atherton Colleries for Rangers.

It’s the hope that kills you, big win today. It’s a massive game against bottom side Atherton next weekend. If you look at their recent games barring today they are always in games and have conceded late goals on a number of occasions, so it isn’t a given but we have to win. As said above Basford have Macclesfield and Radcliffe up next so fingers crossed they loose both.
It would be some achievement if we do it and stay up after being in the relegation zone since September if I remember correctly.

Leeks game and result totally overshadowed by the most sickening collision I've seen in football. 40 minute delay, and praying our lad, Julius Ndene ex-Stoke, is OK. Amazing work done by physios and volunteers.
Game given to officials totally unfit for purpose, allowing them to boot us at will. A number of injuries resulting from a quite disgusting display of reffing......with a home player being allowed to call one of our older female supporters a m***.
Horrible day.
