Off to watch the mighty Dereham town start there league campaign at home against Brantham athletic In the eastern counties premier Following our relegation after eleven years at step four First one for me will be Sandbach on Tuesday. Their league looks the weakest it’s been in a while so hopefully they can push for automatic promotion and at the very least the play offs again. They’re a funny side though, just don’t seem to have a winners mentality. Too nice.

Well after a playoff defeat leading to relegation having finished fourth from bottom ( fa decided after one year to abandon them ) After being royally shafted by the fa in moving us sideways into the northern midlands division We begin step five with only two players left form the previous season Play offs are the minimum required

Not sure I can be arsed to go there though

Not sure I can be arsed to go there though I thought that might be the answer about Macclesfield to be fair A couple of my mates go regular and love it, but I can see why the Savage factor would put you off Not sure about the Belper ground but there is also Ilkeston Town as well that way so could do em both.

He’s just a cock isn’t he. But it’s not that, it’s the interference he has, it’s just so him. I’ve also been Macc before so doesn’t hold anything there (in the Vale away end no less Foxy). It occurred to me though I’ve never watched any of the above bar Sandbach in their respective league. Which I thought was a bit shit tbh! I’ve watched Stoke at Castle, Leek and Nantwich but that’s it. Do Biddulph Vics still exist?

The reason I started this is like I said above I realised I’ve never actually watched most of them in their league. Which is really really shit.

As you says its not actually caring but just being a lover of the beautiful game. I've had some great laughs at Kidsgrove and congleton. At foley i remember just leaning on the rail watching the match with a beer and thinking this is how footie should be.

Off to watch Stafford Rangers vs Leek town today
If anyone hasn’t been non league I’d recommend it, as top level football drifts further away from the working class non league football is a nice reminder of what football is meant to be

It was actually a really good night out tbh. Was when I was at uni and a mate of mine there was a big Vale fan. He drove us and another one of our mates (a Norwich fan) to the game. Student price of a tenner to get in and then two times trying to be coerced into celebrating a Vale goal. It’s very surreal being in a stand with people going mental around you whilst you politely clap 🤣

Unbelievable atmosphere and I went mental in the home end when Walker hit the winner. This was before the rivalry reignited though.

Gowfers (Carnoustie Panmure) have won the league twice on bounce and with wee lass playing for the girls youth team she's got right into watching the blokes - think it's because she's learnt new swear words.
Bought a season ticket for 70 quid and since parting with my cash they've lost the first two games of the season so my curse remains strong.
Going do a few away games too like Blairgowrie, Kirriemuir and St Andrews- regained a love I thought I'd lost.

Sandbach United Alsager Town Congleton Nantwich Town Kidsgrove Atheltic Leek Town Hanley Town Abbey Hulton Newcastle Town Foley Meir Stone Old Alleynians Rocester Eccelshall Stafford Rangers Stafford Town Brocton Try Hednesford Town (just past Stafford), Just reformed in the Northern Premier league West Division. The ground is football league Standard new(ish) build. They are at home to Kidsgrove on Tuesday 22nd August. If you can cope with a Plastic pitch Buxton is a good place to visit and play in the entertaining National League North. Slightly further away another excellent visit is Curzon Ashton (National League North)with again a good recent Stadium. Local rivals Ashton United (Northern Premier League)have an old school stadium worth visiting. AFC Fylde (National League)just outside of Blackpool is in my opinion the best small new build stadium in the country with the best facilities for supporters I’ve seen, just an hour and a quarter up the motorway. If you can stretch to a two hour drive, Hereford FC is a ground hopper classic in a beautiful city. All the aforementioned are easy to find and park up.

Spent a couple of years going to Sheffield FC when I was working around there, and it was a great craic. Got to know people associated with the club very easily. Always loved the natter with the subs, coach, linesman etc while the game is going on. Players are obviously not playing for the money but the standard was surprisingly good. You get some decent players at that level. I loved proper standing at games as well. Is Ilkeston Fc out of your zone? Nice ground. Or Market Drayton? Saw Andy Cooke play for them! Yeah they do. The other is a rungs lower I think but unless I read wrongly has near enough as much support. Which is strange given the size of the town. You’d think they’d just merge?
