Congleton town, 7-0 home win today. No idea who against but the weather was nice and beer was tasty. Rubbish is that, they won 10-0 midweek........ Away at Northwich Victoria with the game being played at Nantwich

Sadly, Stafford Rangers couldn't beat Atherton Colleries, losing 1-0. However Basford Utd were done 3-1 by Macc, so the agony continues until next week .....

Confirmed Champions today and will have a load of players missing I wouldn't necessarily bank on that if I was a Rangers fan......

I went Castle Town today.
They beat play off chasing Nantwich 1-0.
It was dreadful tbh.
But still hilarious for the comments and the football 🤣

Unfortunately Stafford Rangers lost 1-0 to Ashton this afternoon, and are therefore relegated - Butlersbob's pint at Marston Road will have to wait until at least the 2025-2026 season now .

I went Macclesfield Tuesday in their play off semi final v Worksop Town. Macc play some lovely fast moving football on their plastic pitch and deserved the 3-1 victory that came their way. Moss Rose has changed a bit since I saw Stoke play Chester there a couple of times in the early 90s and is a great venue. I sat in the main stand with a slightly obscured view for £17, quite pricey for the Northern Premier League. Easy to park up outside on the street, and the club staff were very friendly and helpful. I’ll be coming back again, I’ve no doubt they’ll overcome Marine in the NPL play off final at Macc, so they’ll be in the National League North.

Macc have just lost the play-off final in their own back yard to Marine 2-1.
Big local derby again with Leek Town next season!

My aim was to do the following this season;
Sandbach Winsford Nantwich Congleton Alsager Kidsgrove Leek Hanley Abbey Hulton Newcastle Foley Meir Stone Old Alleynians Eccleshall Brocton Stafford Town Stafford Rangers Hednesford Uttoxeter Rocester
And I’ve failed massively 🤣
The first five and Castle have been ticked off though so that’s pleasing. Winsford being the best performance. Congleton the best chips.

I wonder what the difference is in Macclesfield's player budget compared to Marine? Or maybe that FA Cup game for Marine v Tottenham gave them some decent budget to play with? I imagine Macclesfield would have expected to get promotion this season.

I imagine Macclesfield would have expected to get promotion this season. The impression I got was that only runaway champions Radcliffe may have been better financed. Macc averaged about 3,300 this season while Marine averaged 1,250 in a league where turnstile income is crucial. Although only a point separated them in the league, you would have had Macc as favourites with home advantage. So really it was a hell of an effort from the Mariners. It’ll be interesting to see how Marine go on in the National League North. Macc I think, were looking to smash their way through the leagues like AFC Wimbledon, they might find they’ll hit a glass ceiling in non league like AFC United of Manchester or the well financed AFC Fylde in a saturated north West non league scene. As a previous poster said, there’s now a tasty local Derby v Leek to look forward to - the rudyard lake-ico 🤣

They'll be expecting to go again and win the league next season you'd think but as they've found out, it's not always that straight forward.

The no real clear indication of where to pay. I stood behind the dugouts in the first half with the away fans and they were hilarious and the first half was actually quite entertaining. The second half was utter shit but there was a last kick of the game winner for Alsager.

I was chatting with Liam Buckleys (Leek) dad last night, there are already messages pinging between players from both sides. Some of the Leek lads have gone to Tenerife now the season is over, a holiday before pre season starts I suppose.

Meanwhile.....Worcester City promoted as Champions of the Hellenic & nearly a trip to Wembley if wasnt down to penalties loss in the semi final of the FA Vase.
Crowds at the very very tight Claines Lane have been full with some games being used at Sixways towards the end of the season due to fixture congestion from too many postponed games.Bizarrely the other Worcester team play their league games at Sixways (Not sure how that happened as Worcester Raiders (the other team) are very much a small outfit, but the anti footballing City Council certainly have had a say in Stadium issues previous)
Now to see which league Worcester will play in next season.....Common sense doesnt follow the standard with regards promotions/leagues I believe

I went to Telford v Leamington in playoff final on Monday.
Incredible atmosphere, genuinely. On the terrace singing away non stop from 45 minutes before kickoff. They've got a lot of young fans which is great to see that could easily support Wolves, WBA, be generic glory hunters etc.
Hope they bounce back next season. Great setup there. League 2 standard.

Managed to get another in today.
Foley Meir vs Redgate Clayton
3-1 to Redgate
Who won the league.
Pretty poor game but a nice little ground and clubhouse and a nice beer garden. It was pretty full too, which was good to see.
Would recommend going a game there if you get a chance.
