Must be one of the worst exits from Stoke City from a single player ever. Cantered through the game, subbed I think after taking a slight knock, no applause when subbed and he greets a few salty goodbyes from the away end with a wave of his hand over his shoulder which could easily have been an Agincourt salute to the travelling fans.

Total embarrassment.
Why the manager would play him there getting long balls lumped up to him I'll never know.

I can see him staying in the Championship being properly managed so that he stays fit and actually does well for a team that uses him properly. Norwich, WBA, someone in the upper half I'd guess.

He’s unfit. Why we signed him on the wages he was on god knows. If he wasn’t a sick note he wouldnt be bumming around at Wigan/Stoke

The Nick Powell when O’Neill first took over was outstanding but I’m afraid not withstanding a few decent games (WBA home) he’s flattered to deceive since with injuries also contributing to that

Hung out to dry as a target man by a manager that wouldn't know a footballer if it slapped him in the face.
I can't wait for next season for our side to be filled in with wannabe Preston runners and kickers.

I can't wait for next season for our side to be filled in with wannabe Preston runners and kickers. The manager said it the other day when he said he didn’t want players who’re always injured. With that in mind you can’t imagine he’ll take a punt on Tuanzebe even if he is in the book of Guiness world records for Hungry Hippos……

If he wasn’t a sick note he wouldnt be bumming around at Wigan/Stoke In his final two seasons at Wigan he played 39 and 32 games, in his first two with us he played 29 and 39. Whatever you think of Powell as a player that is not the record of a sick note.

Stoke fans eh…..Gotta hate somebody That away end today was well I’ll let you decide ….it was passing from one player to another The 'singing' in the second half, bar the love in with the steward who had more than a passing resemblance to The Beast from The Chase quiz show, was "we're fucking shit", "let's pretend we've scored a goal", "we've got the ball/we've lost the ball" and so on. The whole cynical self deprecating gallows humour* Stoke City songbook, no page left unturned. So every player got some. Funny in parts, utterly depressing most of the time. *highly debatable in places.

I’d say that he absolutely lived up to his potential. Good riddance. Well he’s clearly got a lot of quality, he just hasn’t made the best of it. The epitome of unfulfilled potential. Like I said, all the best but I’m fine he’s off

No different than the majority of the others Over paid pile of gutless wank But he does have technical ability and a soupçon of nous. He had two (?) opportunities to score or assist yet again today but instead chose to fanny around playing FIFA in his mind. I've never seen a player demonstrate a Can't Be Arsed mindset as much as him today. Neil should never have played him. Nor Smallbone, who was out of position (I think) and did absolutely sod all. Pearson running around like a bull in a china shop and a couple of goal bound wallops did more than most of the others put together. I can't get past the idea that Powell could have so good for us.
