Most of us could rip through a defence with Fox and Jags at its heart. Put Tuanzebe in there and I'm not sure it would have been the same. They have to get round his wheel chair and oxygen tank but it’s a very fair point

Our best player at the club by a long distance during these recent dark times.
The boo boys will need to pick another target now - Campbell? The only player left in the squad with a glimmer of flair, so my money is on him. Some idiots wont be happy till we're in League 1 with 11x Jacob Brown's 'giving 110%' - enjoy.

goodbye powell, and good luck in your auditions for the west end performance of 'the invisible man'. you certainly had enough practice for the role with your time here.

But absolutely nowhere near our best player this season, a pale shadow of previous seasons. It's possible to acknowledge his skills and contribution to the club whilst still believing that now is the right time for him to move on..........

Bloody loved Nick Powell playing for us, a reluctant but completely understandable goodbye to our marvellously mercurial sh*thouse

Correct decision. Unreliable now fitness wise. Just isn't worth the space in the squad or wages..
3 months injured.. 3 sub games to get up to speed. 3 game starts. Injured...and the cycle goes again.
Time to go.

One of very few players since we've been back in the Championship who could do things that your average player can't. Not so much lately though.
Not looking forward to playing against him next season. I predict he'll do an 'Arnie' on us. A motivated Nick Powell is very dangerous but therein lies the problem I think.
All the best Nick.

Powell has been by far our best player since relegation and often the only highlight.
It's a shame people don't look at facts, as he'd barely been injured for the 5 seasons previous to his leg fracture, and most players would've struggled to come back from that injury, especially when they're not given a run in the team. Kind of like how Bojan never got the chance to get going in the Championship.
Lots of unfulfilled potential for Powell at Stoke, but mostly thanks to the doing of others and that unfortunate injury.
I hope he does well elsewhere, as long as it's not at the expense of Stoke.

He is certainly not perfect and it is clear that the leg break combined with AN's desire to play him as a center forward has pretty much ended his Stoke career. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. It was only 18 months or so ago that he was being linked with PL clubs (Newcastle were one, from memory). I imagine that he will pop up somewhere in The Championship.

Still think he had a lot to offer us and I’m not convinced we’ll sign better.
He’s been good for us overall.
Good luck!

Cheers Nick. A beacon of light and inventiveness often amongst an ocean of absolute shite. Can see why he got given games at CF but it was never going to get the best out of him and he wasn’t involved nearly enough because of it.
He’ll always get a good reception from me.

He'll end up at a top end championship club aiming for promotion I have no doubt.

I’ve learnt a new word, thanks op for that, mean while he’ll remain a legend in his own mind for a limited time that’s shorter than his time here. Not really contributed apart from the occasional moment. Skilful yeah game changer no. Part of us seeing light at the end of a dark tunnel.

Because most of the others make me want to get on my feet and walk out of the ground by the 36th minute, or turn off the stream.

Get you bum of a seat? That’s Ricardo fuller. I’ve never seen a crowd get of there seat with our own player receiving the ball in there own half encouraging a layer to attack like this man, nick powell just does a flick with half anticipation of getting a fowl, that’s his modus operandi , which makes football a bit (use your own exploitive) , I’ll say watch stoke for more years and you’ll see some one better , cus he’s a million miles away from being great, great is deliving, not showing flashes

For me, Powell is a brilliant player and our best player by a mile in recent years - but he just didn’t want it enough. Talent-wise, head and shoulders above anyone, but you’ve got to work hard, be consistent and have drive. Sadly he didn’t demonstrate any of that.
If Michael Jordan / Serena Williams / Tiger Woods didn’t work hard, they’d achieve nothing. It’s not all about talent.
Likewise, Gary Neville / Rory Delap / etc. had no real talent to speak of but dug in every minute of every day- and the results come.
If NP had the drive of Neville, we would only have ever seen him from afar as he won trophies and England caps.
Big shame that he never really wanted it enough, but in that flashes he did show, he was fantastic.
Good luck Nick.

The people saying that Powell was fantastic for us need to consult a dictionary. He's a charlatan, nothing more, nothing less. Can't wait to see which sucker of a club will decide to give him another shot at proving how fantastic he is.

In his last game he went down looking to draw not one but two fouls on the edge of their box, and so blatant were those attempts the ref waved played on. My fourteen year old kid spotted it from the away end, sighed at the first and told him to get up for the second.
As good as he was at his best, as much as I wished he was a game changer, his time with us was over.

We watch a game we love and we invariably judge, he didn’t come up trumps like we want, there’s was and is maybe a bit there but it was never shown. Il stick me neck out here and say it’s like glearish he’s more interested in attracting fowls and making a scene being apart of a fowl than making a moment of z football moment, that’s my thoughts. Ooh you could see grealish lost or didn’t have confidence last night cus only once he went on the outside, wingers hey , lost part of game, in pursuit of waliking it in, whilst getting super excited at getting a corner, don’t get it
