In his final two seasons at Wigan he played 39 and 32 games, in his first two with us he played 29 and 39. Whatever you think of Powell as a player that is not the record of a sick note. Erm his last two seasons are and that’s what counts The point being claimed was we signed a sick note, we didn't. |

Hasn’t played for Neil.
No one has played well for Neil.
Neil has made decent players worse.
Powell will play Championship football next season for a manager who wants him.
I hope the players Neil wants turn out to be upgraded on Powell, but thus far he hasn’t bought in one player who has been a real upgrade on what we already had. ( Hoever maybe,
but just hasn’t played enough)

im sure the clubs will be queuing up for him, no doubt he'll drop down a division, thats where 75% of the team would end up Only 29. I can see him staying in the Championship being properly managed so that he stays fit and actually does well for a team that uses him properly. Norwich, WBA, someone in the upper half I'd guess. As clueless about the football side of Stoke too then. |

To be honest I’ve never thought he’s been good for us. He was ok under O Neil but I’ve never seen the ‘most talented player at the club’ that people speak of. He’s just meh.

Some bright moments in what will go down in history as average times at best. I’m sure injuries haven’t helped, but his application in the latter stages of this season has been questionable. Time for both sides to move on from another failed relationship.

He was a very good player for us in the second half of his first season and much of his second season.
Since then he’s been very meh. It’s out of his control but his constant sidelining has been incredibly frustrating. 5/6 injuries a season. 2 weeks to get back up to speed. Injured the following week. Fed up of it. Not just him but the whole injured once a month pack. Injuries are obviously going to happen but when you’re injured more than not … well, you’re rightfully robbing a very very good living.
And a much more minor point but at least we don’t have to watch him jump for the ball a good 2-3 seconds before he should be jumping for it when it gets lumped up the pitch …
Never a target man. Behind the striker he’s mint. He’s better than Smallbone. But unreliable and frustrating. Best of luck to the man.
Back to Wigan would be a decent move if they were financially healthy. Does anyone in the Champo offer him a contract?

Must be one of the worst exits from Stoke City from a single player ever. Cantered through the game, subbed I think after taking a slight knock, no applause when subbed and he greets a few salty goodbyes from the away end with a wave of his hand over his shoulder which could easily have been an Agincourt salute to the travelling fans. im sure the clubs will be queuing up for him, no doubt he'll drop down a division, thats where 75% of the team would end up Only 75% I was thinking nearer 95% |
