Just had a look through this thread for the first time, so called Stoke City "supporters" actually wanting the Burslem lot to win games of football and even get promoted?! No matter what feeble reasons are given for doing this, you are not Stoke if you want that club to win games of football. Maybe you could send a list of card carrying season ticket holders to the club that you want excluding on the grounds that they don't hate Port Vale, see what sort of response you get. I'll await my ST being withdrawn and a full refund being received. Thought not! |

Just a local football club that were overdue a good season, managed by a man who must’ve had one of the most difficult years in his life. Fair play to them, they fully deserved it. |

We are a league above them And do you have a single shred of evidence to back up your money lending quote ? They employ over 100 people and run a very successful local business dealing with banks and the government with IT fraud. I'd love to know where you have your information from? |

That generation of fans has massively dwindled surely? My grandads generation used to do that and he would have been in his mid 90s We used to go to watch Vale occasionally if Stoke were away in the early to mid 70's as young teenage lads, nowhere near our 90's Me too. Horton, McClaren, Lacey, Beamish we’re good to watch. Can’t have anything but admiration for how the new owners have rescued the club, built a fantastic community charity and achieved on the pitch. Has to be good for the local area |

Just because we are a league above them doesnt mean they arent running the club better than us off the pitch. Their owners seem to have a clear vision on how they want their club to be run and have put a management structure in place to achieve this. Despite all their investment Im just not seeing this from our owners, hence 5 years of decline. And before anyone says owt, I dint want them replaced, i just want them to sort the running of the club out |

Good humoured banter is one thing, but vicious vitriol and maybe an element of envy at the success of the Vale is another. Two successful teams in one city is good for the economy (and let's ace it SOT could do with a boost in its economy. Unfortunately, we have two mediocre teams that are languishing in the lower divisions. It would please me no end if both teams were in the Premier League. Sadly it's more likely we'll meet in League 1. Let's hope no. I am hoping for a Vale promotion next season, which is about as likely as Stoke's promotion to the Premier League. Hopefully we don't swap places!
