Shall we wait and see? I half think you are just trying to wind people up and my arguing with you means you are achieving your aim. If he is fully recovered Shawcross will be the best centre half at the club. Good though they are Souttar and Collins have achieved nothing yet compared to Shawcross. Lots of players fail to fulfill their potential. Shawcross has nothing to prove to anyone, his career speaks for itself. He’s either paying you to say what you’re saying or you’re deluded. He never was the best centre half at the club, he was carried by Huth for many seasons. Don’t get me wrong, as a human being he’s great and would love to have him around the club for years to come, but not as a player. More horseshit. Carried by Huth my arse. I'll leave this thread now, opinions differ i know but some of the stuff spoken about our captain is utter, utter bollox.

We're a club that has been in the shit the last couple of years, a club who was expected to bounce back to the premier at the first attempt, a club who are no longer in the position to waste money. Unfortunately we're not in that position to be sentimental to players like Ryan, he's been great for the club but we should not be looking at a player of his ability as a way forward.

I think Ryan has some miles left in his tank if he avoids injury’s it also depends who’s playing along side him.

a club who was expected to bounce back to the premier at the first attempt Who in the right mind thought that, nobody probably thought we’d struggle as much as we did but it was obvious that it was gonna take a while to reform

I wouldn't want to be held to ransom, but I would be more than happy to have him as cover on a pay as you play or reduced wages. When he leaves, we'll only have to bring in someone else to sit on the bench.
