The very reason ‘the process’ was introduced was because Pulis had lost his marbles in the transfer market. Agreed , Pulis was less good without Francis / Reid
Peter Reid in particular , had massive experience of the game as a player , coach and manager . He is held in the sort of regard in Sunderland that Lou Macari is held in , in stoke . He was above merely competent . He was an excellent chap for TP to turn to for advice .
Pulis , not supported by someone of Peter Reid's authority , was simply not as good .
I have never met NJ , but reading between the lines , I think he would be happier discussing matters with a Peter Reid/ mick harford type than a Mark Cartwright type .
My understanding is that Tony Pulis is held in high regard as a scout or talent spotter. |

The same people that did before probably, the rest of the scouting team. If true then they should also be looking for new jobs in the very near future, hopefully fat boy's departure will lead to the truth coming out about the responsibility for our obvious lack of due diligence surrounding many of our transfer dealings. You're assuming that they didn't raise concerns to the manager before signing them. |
