Is it coincidental that both Cruickshank & now Cartwright have departed in the last few months. Are we in herald in new beginnings? Perhaps, 'Major Overhaul', has finally put his boots on. They are getting shut of all the C's......... just going through the alphabet Adam Berahino these 2 gentlemen whose next? Delap?

Wonder who the next scapegoat for hire will be. My thoughts at the end of the day we have made some disastrous signings in the last couple of years, surely those who do the scouting should be blamed not somebody down the line who has to negotiate with agents. Guess ts will be the next target The vast majority of them were manager picks though?

The very reason ‘the process’ was introduced was because Pulis had lost his marbles in the transfer market. And it should have been removed once it allowed Mark Hughes to lose his, Rob. The process, or the people involved? Again, I'm never quite sure about the 'allowing' business, was it part of Carto's remit to forbade Hughes from buying his top targets? Had he done that and said target had banged in 20 for a rival, how would that have gone down do you think? I've got no problem believing Carto is a bluffer and a chancer who we'll be better off without, I just want him to get the blame for the stuff that's actually on him.

At least the new replacement was a “professional footballer” that’s a start

Replacing Cartwright with the right appointment could be the best signing of the summer hands down.

Forget messing around with Mick Hartford and suchlike, just spend the Dwight Gayle money on hoovering up Brentford's scouting system and algorithms. It'll pay for itself inside 18 months. I said this at the start of the window. Best business we could do was sign their whole process for player recruitment.

Well Scholes has just thanked him for his role in acquiring the good players we have over the years so there's obviously some process he's involved in and therefore presumably been involved in the dozen or more absolute horror shows that have cost the club scores of millions. Regardless of that though, Rob, if process was implemented because Pulis's appalling decisions were far outweighing his good, then surely that process becomes meaningless and worthless itself when Mark Hughes takes it on to another level of idiocy?

Part of the furniture. Tony is untouchable. Quite. A piece of furniture would be more use to the club and a lot cheaper.

It does mate - it was clear the manager still had far too much power and various people were singing from different hymn sheets. Where the process works, it works from top to bottom with a singularity of vision. They should have got rid of all of them with the same broom. What I object to is all this ‘the manager’s hands are tied by the evil puppet masters’ guff.

Apparently cartwright has said he is leaving, ' to explore new opportunities '
Oh right!
The same as Theresa May then.

I think cartwright going puts more focus on Nj
You would imagine if you were stoke manager at a time, when Campbell, verlinden, Collins and Edwards are comming through. You might be tempted to play them and concentrate your resources, on signing upgrades for the remaining seven places to make up an eleven. You might think that!
But Nj might have the opposite idea of signing experienced players for the same positions. Not bringing them through. And not strengthening other areas of the squad
It's possible in the fullness of time, this might not look like genius management.
Good luck to him though.
His signings look a bit random to me.
But hope he proves me wrong.

"In addition to many other matters has been instrumental in helping to bring some magnificent players to the Club." ergo "In addition to many other matters has been instrumental in helping to bring some absoultely destructibve and dibaolical pieces of shit to the Club." See ya Mark Funny that NJ mentions Cartwright's 'professionalism' - fans and colleagues seem to have very divergent views? Its because the fans know shit all and just guess based on pretty much nothing.

Possibilities
1 we just shot the wrong bloke
1b we shot one of the right blokes but not necessarily in the right order
2 thrown under the bus while the truly accountable remain
3 we are finally recognising the process or the people running it, aren’t quite as good as we made out and finally the executive have or been forced to realise it
4 Nathan has got pissed off with the process .
Time I’m sure will tell ,
Timing is a bit bizarre as he has overseen this critical summer according to his own JD , the next appointment and or departure will be truly telling

It's very rare for 100% of the people to agree with a decision. But 97% is close enough.
