Just finished series 2. Very frustrating for the supporters. Too many draws and too many times they were leading a game to then sit back and draw or lose. Very familiar feeling. Hopefully Stoke & Sunderland can both taste top level football in the not too distant future.

It’s Shakespearean at times in the tragedy. Finally they seem to be turning a corner.....two trips to Wembley....things are looking up....but then two gut wrenching defeats.

Makes you wonder doesn’t it? If they finished 15th in the championship in the first season, it would have been as dull as dishwater.

It was a bit boring this second series. Too many cliched slo-mo goals, not enough on the players other than that one posh sounding lad. The owners were entertaining. The Man City one on Amazon showed coaching (even if it was incomprehensible), more behind the scenes stuff. And the footie was a bit better

That Methven bloke looks like he should be a middle manager in a call centre

Enjoyed the second series
Thought that Charlie Methvan came across as a total dick, he thought he was better at coaching than the manager an better at marketing than the marketing manager. On her he treated her appallingly, he threatened her with redundancy unless she started to get 45k homes gates, she got it and he binned her anyhow, then taking the plaudits himself for the bumper crowd whilst using her to fetch his beers!!
Stewart Donald seems a decent bloke, but made a mistake with Grigg.
Maja was a bit of a prick for leaving them I thought, I realise his agent pushed him but I think he owed Sunderland a bit more than that.
Quite liked the O’nein who reminded me of Paul Ware for some reason and Gooch was good and George Honeyman looks a player ( didn’t know he was now at Hull!)

Brilliant documentary especially series2, really captures the highs and lows of what football can give, and a better understanding of the different aspects from diner lady to the guy owning it, gawd am glad we managed to witness a win at Wembley

He did but what we saw of her she seemed to have little input and just sat there in meetings, so could see his point in a way. He did seem a know all re tactics and a pain in the arse but he's there to do a job and what a mess they were in. You couldn't like him though Cant blame Maja, was reportedly on £950 a week and moved on to Euro 45k if all to be believed. Donald really got screwed over Grigg, thought he was doing the right thing but showed his inexperience, as you say the manager warned him.

Now I think moving to the French league is a toss move career wise but he's set for life in one move. O'Nein is ace.

I have binge watched it over the last week, really enjoyed it from start to finish. More dressing room stuff would have enhanced it but all in all a good watch. We as Stokies can share their pain to a degree, most of the fans portrayed seem a decent down to earth bunch. Makes me miss matchdays so much.

I wonder if they didn’t do a lot of the dressing room and physio stuff that made players look bad In the last one because after seeing the first one the players wouldn’t sign up for it

Been binge watching these ,QPR one “4 year plan “on amazon is even more damning , truly horrendous management of the club , but I have to say the Man City one I found made them difficult to dislike , for all the money humility was obvious , Pep was very interesting , wired but in complete control , the others said nowt in the dressing room and the chairman and players like silva came across very well . The difference between home grown players like Delph and Stones To the imports very noticeable too .
Interesting part after one defeat bDelphi says we forget to run and tackle and pep says that’s not what footballs about at this level .

Anybody remember the Sheff United one from ages ago?? Dave Basset was manager. Around 1990 I think.
It was brilliant from what I recall.
I tried searching there but can’t find it!

Why not just run the contract down and move as a free agent? Seems a massively pointless step football wise.

Remember that Sheffield Utd one, brilliant viewing! My mates a Blades fan and we found them all on YouTube not so long back.
On the players one (I think) there is footage of them in the dressing room at the Vic and then of the game where they beat us 1-0. They went up, we went down that year

Nice one fella Think the Fans one is the best episode. They are on the verge of a second successive promotion and one of their fans is sat in the pub slating Bassett and hammering his style of football...saying none of the players are fit to lace Tony Currie's boots...very amusing!

Looking forward to reliving it!! It was pretty groundbreaking for its time. Bassett looks like a twenty something!!!

Oh God. Just sheer stupidity that. But from the off he was like a star struck fan in awe of everything. And his right hand man, Charlie? Utter bellend.
