Either Hughes finds a way out of this mess or we're fucked, or just stick a couple of big signs up, something like "Dressing room this way". You should be on the stage.

There is a rumour going around that 3 senior Stoke players were out on the piss Friday night.
Despite being warned not to.

So what are you saying? I don't think Coates will be rash, but it's January. Would he trust him with money? I expect he will give him 2 more games, and if it's still as poor as it has been, he might act. Personally, I think he'll stick. I think that Coates will stick with his man also. Coates has and is pretty loyal to his managers. The problem is, as mentioned, he may have lost the dressing room or maybe part of it,but he's also losing parts of the crowd and it seems to be growing each week which was clear for all to see from the mass exodus on 72 minutes against Wolves. I've finally jumped into the Hughes out camp. I'd prefer to keep him here to the end of the season and then part ways rather than sack him now and risk potentially falling further down the league table. I know he will. If there is to be a succession there will be an orderly, gentlemanly one over one summer. Peter Coates will not want the 'club in crisis' message sent out to the watching world that a summary dismissal mid-season would create, it would reflect poorly on the board and by inference on Bet365 too. It ain't happening folks so you'd better get used to it.

There's a lot of good questions there.
However I can't give you a very good answer.
Really in order to do so, it would mean (if I was the chairman) having to sit down with Hughes one to one, express my specific concerns about his recent recruitment policy and see how he responds. If he convinces me that he can turn it around, then I back him, if he doesn't, then well, ultimately there is only one eventuality isn't there? I might not tell him straight away but would probably try and keep him on board for the time being by appearing to back him temporarily, whilst lining up a replacement for him in the summer.
As a supporter looking in from the outside and with not much to go on, I've got to cling to the hope that he can see the errors he's made and turn it around, even if that means giving him more money to spend.
I don't want Dyche.
That's all true, fair enough. I'd give Rogers a go. He's doing well in Scotland & he's got something to prove in the Prem. He could bring a couple of his players with him as well.

Hughes saying he could have taken off 4 or 5 players at half time.
Who were the other 2 or 3?
Pieters, Johnson, Shaqiri?
Interesting that Charlie Adam was out very quickly after the half time whistle - in fact most of the subs were out a lot later!
At that point MH must have told either or both Bojan or Imbula they would not be involved in the 2nd half
About 5 mins (or more) Allen appears ready to go!
Maybe MH was debating who else would not be featuring
I don't recall either Bojan or Imbula returning to sit on the bench, some rumours suggesting that Imbula went home!
Lots of work needed in this coming week, not least to get some team ethic back
Interesting team selection - with hindsight, should have been either Imbula or Bojan to work in front of Whelan / Adam or Allen

Hurrah. He could have subbed Crouch, Bojan, Shaqiri, Imbula and Johnson and not one of them would have had a complaint. The stupid thing was he then subbed Shaqiri just as he was starting to get into the game. I'd have brought N'Goy on for Johnson who was playing like he was pissed and gone shit or bust.

It is also true that Bojan & Imbula left the ground at half time and went home...Despite being asked to stop and watch the second half with the rest of the team.

If that's true and I am not saying it isn't then that is pathetic. To have no interest in cheering on your team mates and seeing how they get on when you already at the ground and the game has started is ridiculous.

Just trying to make sense of the last month or so? i think since the leicester game after game we have should won, mark hughes has started to put pressure on himself. then there's the watford game, team selection the old guard brought back crouchie and co. Bojan wanting to leave, imbula not wanting to perform and shaq getting dropped?? These are mark hughes signings too? Cant blame bojan wanting to leave either, the manager says he's in his plans but rarely plays him. sends out very mixed messages... the trust is broken... Hughes has done wonders to the club since pulis, playing breathe taking football at times, but all doesn't seem well at the moment?
