Did 15.76km last time out, mountain trail run. Its up to 35 in the daytime here and 90%+ humidity... so bloody hot. If it wasnt for the wind and an ice filled Camelbak I wouldn't last.

interesting ancedote i read today from british marathon runner Steve Jones (world record holder in 1980s)
after doing a 2hr 30 ish marathon he asked a normal runner how long it took him. the embarrassed runner said 5 hrs to which steve now in awe said brilliant, how on earth do you manage to stay on your feet for 5 hours
the point is go as long as you can for as fast as you can, a longer slower runn is just as good for you as a shorter faster run

Hope he's going to be OK Jonah. I'm getting my marathon training in early as my dad is past his 6 months they gave him for pancreatic and bowel cancer, get to 22 miles and just keep topping up on case he goes.

Just got back from a 5 1/2 miler.Way more comfortable in the cooler temperature. My dad's come home now. Monday afternoon they said he needs heart surgery as soon as possible. Tuesday afternoon they said we'll run some tests. Wednesday afternoon they said go home and come back in 6 months and we'll see if it's got any worse.
