What a healthy Sunday it has been! I'm posting a new pair of running shoes and a 10.34km in 1 hour. It was immensely hot, and i apparently got a bit shouty with my self encouragement in the last 5 mins
I've done 6 miles this afternoon and it was fucking hot.I thought I was going to die half way up Greenbank Road. I did it in 1 hour and that's quick enough for me.
Most people think they are going to die up Greenbank Road, and they aren't even running

Fine effort POOB
Don't have too much to contribute to this running thread since my activity tends to either be squash or circuit training or speed/endurance training for squash. So no real distances covered as such. Used to run cross-country in my school days so I still have a decent engine but grinding out the hard miles and mixing it with squash doesn't work for me anymore
Good luck to all though, some fine work going on here, TP would be proud of all of you
I've just done 6 1/2 miles and i feel quite good, much better than yesterday. Incidentally if anyone in Chell,Smallthorne,Norton,Ball Green or Knypersley think they saw some sort of bi-pedal ape shuffling along don't worry,it was just me.
A gentle 3km running and an easy 5km on the rowing machine for me. wayyyy too hot!
Is that the Concept 2 rower POOB? I really got in to that stuff about 3 years ago when by knee was bad but now it is ok again I never get on one. I followed a training program from the website for a while, a mixture of speed and endurance intervals coupled with a few long rows. I got pretty good if I do say so myself

Not sure what make the rowing thingy is but its very easy to use
Just banged out 18 miles in 2 hr 40 mins, a cracking morning for an early run around the countryside, lovely.
well done northwich that's a great effort, I can remember when I would be reluctant to go out in such high temperatures but as long as you get plenty of water down yer in the couple of hours before your run and if possible during, then you will be ok
Thanks, there'll be a few more of them over the next few weeks, I've got the Sandstone trail A race and the Amsterdam marathon lined up this year.
A pro! I could only dream of running a such distances
Amsterdam marathon? I thought that was a tour around the sex clubs on a sat night if your there when ajax are playing theres an old type of pub right in the middle of the red light district I think it holds 80 me and a mate were crammed in with about 200 ajax fans all getting pissed, I was resplendent in my stoke city away shirt and when we scored v the baggies everyone knew that stokies are in town lol p.s. don't wait until your bosting to go for a piss the toilets are awful and theres one yes 1 toilet for the lads??? hence massive queues
5 and a bit miles tonight.Smallthorne bank felt a bit steep and my legs felt a bit stiff for the last 2 miles along High lane but it wasn't too bad. I'm planning to do work and back on my bike(10 mile round trip)and a 6 mile run tomorrow.
