What happens if an individual refuses to be transported to Rwanda I wonder? Have they even thought about it? They will be stuck in jails until they submit.(Maybe) The scheme wont work and will be a complete and utter failure similar to the Israeli and Australian plans who have tried similar disgusting schemes. If it has to go through parliament, which I'm not sure about, it will fail in the Lords anyway. Our government make me retch.

The matchday pre entertainment has stayed the same since we moved the the Bet365 if anything it has got worse. People really need to move on, its like Oatcake shops all selling cheddar because it always been that way, very commendable but boring as hell. Its a mentality thing with our city. When I was growing up you’d have been publicly flogged for saying less than this blasphemous filth Which of the five statements is blasphemous in my sentences or all of them?

The bloke phoned earlier to confirm that I have the correct date and time for the induction next week and he said, "you are the bloke who wears glasses, right?" I said "yes that's me, but is that really what you took away when we met? You went with the glasses rather than the huge mohawk?" Sounds a right pillock.I cannot believe he didn't use your name.

Thatcher-Major-Cameron-May-Johnson-Truss its just gets worse and worse. I agree with you eggy, what a terrible bunch of leaders. Maybe we should have a leader who takes us to war under false pretences, or a leader who deregulates the financial services, stands by and does nothing* while the financial services like Northern Rock, helped create a crisis, which then required the government to use tax payers money to support the banks. Gordon Brown admits 'big mistake' over banking crisis www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-13032013* Nothing is not fair, he did raid the pension funds, effectively destroying final salary pensions, so as to fund government spending such as bailing out banks and building societies. When did we last have a satisfactory Prime Minister? I am old enough to remember "the winter of discontent" and " the pound in your pocket" as other epochs in Labour governments. I was a member of the Liberal Party in the 70s and 80s and left them because they too were a duplicitous bunch I wanted nothing to do with. Heath took us into the EEC ("common market") which I was quite happy about at the time. My ole man was hopping mad saying he had no mandate from anyone to give away sovereignty of the country and switched from Tory to supporting Benn, Shaw, and Castle, true socialists. So six tories, one Labour leader who tbh most people were happy with for quite a while but totally lost it when he followed Bush, and Brown who was never prime minister material. Labour deserve another chance and I believe they will win the next election. BTW Im a little anarchist at heart so it is difficult for me to praise any of the capitalist tossers.

Nope an hour of any adult time and effort should be worth £15 And what about the rest of us, who’ve worked our bollocks off all our lives to earn a good living? I’m sorry, I aren’t having it. Doesn't quite fit right that in my books. Keeping the poor poor. There is an awful lot of this in SOT, jealously.

Unfortunately we did warn everyone, when I said the last 2 elections anyone but the Tories as you can't trust them even I didn't see how corrupt they were The previous Labour shadow cabinet was unelectable. Not going into the reasons as it's been done to death elsewhere and this is a Tory bashing thread They may well have been "unelectable" in a lot of peoples eyes, but I cannot believe they would have been worse.

What else would we do? I'd be surprised if it changes much on our end. The best we can do is reduce oil&gas use faster if possible. . We can't sit idly by while genocide happends. They cross lines we escalate, simple. - Increase the lethality of weapons we send them. - No fly zones - Western strike drones operating over Ukraine ( paint them in UKR colours) - SOF teams striking command and control nodes The West need to now lever Russia out of UKR. These images in Bucha are just the start Why not we sit by and witness "genocide" in Yemen? In fact we actively support it.

A city that desperately needs some good news. Owners who seem to be a model for what a community club can be and yet they get slagged. 90% couldnt care less and the rest dislike them and that's that.

Just a thought are children allowed to view threads like this on here or does the Oatcake have a duty of care, and has to warn people?

Two weeks ago last Wednesday my brothers 10 year old granddaughter was rushed into Portsmouth hospital during the night, her head was swelled and eyes closed like she'd been in a boxing match, crying in pain, her and her mum positive with covid, Friday 2AM emergency transfer from Portsmouth to Southampton hospital for an operation to cut open the corners of the eyes and attach drainage tubes to the sinuses and put on morphine, the Sunday another operation to insert more drainage tubes behind the eyes on morphine and two sets of antibiotics, ended up on a ward which was just all children with covid, most probably scared out of their wits, finally out after another week, it's not just about deaths. This may not be fatal for most but its still putting a strain on NHS resources, last week didn't Scotland have most people in hospital since it began? It maybe an inconvenience for some but still straining the workplaces, one of our data centres we are down from 8 to 3 shift engineers, managers covering shifts. We held site visits at one site for tendering contracts, 6 suppliers, not 1 could send the full 3 people, 2 could only send 1 person, all off with covid. The good thing with this sudden peak, 5 million last week is we should all have immunity in a few weeks That’s awful hope she’s fully OK now. I had a text late last night saying my posted sample was negative, literally been flat out with what I presume was Flu for four days. My partner has it too for the first time and as you say it seems like flu.

I wish you wouldn't keep accusing me of cherry picking because you're only coming across as a liar. This is twice you've lied about my integrity now. As someone who claims to be quite religious I find the ease in which you incorrectly label people quite disturbing. Surely that isn't a quality to aspire to. I quoted these two...but I'm not about to paste everything. Just the parts that contradict the bits you originally decided to pick out. fullfact.org/economy/february-2022-boris-johnson-employment/fullfact.org/economy/january-2022-gdp-growth-g7/Anyway, you can continue lying to yourself, to others and about me if you wish. Again, that's more your style than mine. Your first link above says nothing about record payroll employment, just total employment. My post was correct. Your second link says what I originally posted about 2021 being the fastest year for growth in the G7, you chose to pick out the bit about from quarter to quarter to suit your argument. I am simply commenting on 2021. The point at issue is how well has the UK done since leaving the EU. On most counts it has done very well. "The point at issue is how well has the UK done since leaving the EU. On most counts it has done very well" Utterly unbelievable. And there were no parties.

When born yes, but most babies when there is a gender issue at birth have steroids to encourage the production of either oestrogen or testosterone whichever is the most prominent. Then an operation will follow to tuck things away.

Got thinking about what was my favourite cartoon as a child, lots of memories/choices but Arabian Knights for me sticks out, it was a Saturday morning show with a couple of cartoons thrown in. Im afraid your mistaken fella ,Arabian Knights was a show on the Banana Splits show along with the 3 musketeers. Brilliant though.

Wasn't nationalising one of the reasons people didn't vote for Corbyn? Maybe I've got it wrong but I'm pretty sure it was and now everyone is saying ,"it should be nationalised"..

I suppose meeting the Dalai Lama has to be the best for me although there have been a few others. What did he say? “I’ve always wondered what Eggybread off the oatcake looks like and now here he is standing before me and it’s better than I could have ever imagined”.😉 He did an audience anyone can go, they put updates/posters all over India where and when you can go and the type of meet it is. We went, and there was a lot of praying and mantra ,then people asked some very personal questions and sought guidance on topics of bereavement, humanitarian issues, China, God etc but mainly on how to reach enlightenment (nirvana) and how to cope with life and generally how to be a better person. He seemed a pleasant man, stern when needed but also with an almost English sense of humour. Im am not a religious person at all but some people do have a dare I say "Je ne sais quoi" where you just sense something but cannot describe it ,he has that in abundance.

They completed the feat last season (April 2021) but, as has been said elsewhere, there are some teams higher up the league who haven't been given the chance to play (and beat) what were previously non-league clubs or newly formed clubs (e.g. Salford, MK Dons, Forest Green Rovers) So if you wanted to mock, you could highlight they're celebrating wins in the lower leagues 😂 Apparently they did it yesterday when they beat Sutton. Im assuming that someone else had beaten everyone too last season and that changed when Sutton got promoted.
