Young, inexperienced and out of form, at a club that's bottom of the table and he's expected to make an impact in the championship it's a big ask. I know Man City academy coaches and when I asked what he was like they described exactly what we've seen. Interestingly, they think Wright-Phillips is better than Matondo That's a positive then, these are the sort of signings we need at the moment, cheap and something to prove. At least we seem an attractive proposition to these players and O'Neil is giving them a chance.

Not happy at all with the result no but changing the manager again will make the situation even worse Cardiff fans would disagree with you. Totally different scenario, and ask them in 12 months.

Absolutely spot on. O Neil is showing himself as a bit of a coward. That was shocking management. And we all know which shit houses who will start Tuesday don’t we Michael. Maclean’s contribution today... cut inside, hit a shot and went for a throw!! Absolute wank. But he will start Tuesday because he runs! It’s getting a joke how favourites like Mikel Allen Chester Maclean all get game time. Did he start today?

I agree 100%. Hes a bit meh. We really are crap at recruiting players. Matando is bloody awful as well. Matondo was never going to be anything else. He's a victim of the ridiculous expectation placed on him by those who thought he was some kind of Sancho. Young, inexperienced and out of form, at a club that's bottom of the table and he's expected to make an impact in the championship it's a big ask.

It was a lot better than his replacement mate! I’m just repeating what the manager said in the post match interview mate Yes mate I know.Clarke does his defensive duties well but needs to be a bit more adventurous offensively,he played the ball to Fletcher who was in an offside position, when he should have got a shot off,and he needs to learn when to have a go and when to pass, but he certainly gives us something outside and hopefully he will learn. I just can't see what attributes Montando has to work with apart from him allegedly being quick, which isn't immediately apparent.

Isn't Rabbi the bloke who would have won is the game v reading last week? Needs a good run of games apparently!🙄

He might be fast but he has no football brain. Brown is a better option. Crikey - a battle of the brainless - what an epic. Rabbi couldn't even get the ball under control to tread on it!

How is it the likes of Mclean, Allen, Brown get numerous chances with you guys because they work aard Rabbi plays a few games and should be banished. He needs a consistent run of games... He was totally ineffective offensively and defensively he was at fault for the third and shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as McLean and Allen.

Why did he get hooked at half time? Not his best game but at least he can create and is positive on the ball. Maybe he spoke his mind and it didn't go down well. It was a strange tactical change, Mikel or Allen off at H/T would have made more sense. It was a stupid sub. McClean should have come on for Clucas with Powell moving behind Fletcher. Personally would have replaced Clucas with Thompson as he gets amongst them and can deliver a quality ball given the amount of corners we spunked away.Clarke was a dam site more effective than Mantando offensively and defensively.

I was perhaps a fortnight premature with this but I think we're at this point now, Lets get a word from the top floor. Again, what is it you expect them to say that we don’t know already? The manager isn’t under serious pressure whatever frustration there might be around him. We’re hamstrung by FFP and the transfer window is closed, so this is our lot squad-wise. They’ll say publicly that we’re working hard to end the bad run. Would someone coming out and saying those things and/or a few platitudes really help anything? What's all the fuss?

I absolutely loved O'Neill, but things clearly need improving don't they. I guess it happens to most managers to a point but he's definitely being hampered by having such clear favourites. Desperate to play Allen and Mikel so Cousins can't get in the team, desperate to play Chester so Collins ends up at right back. Hopefully a heavy defeat will make him consider making some changes. Agree on Mikel and Allen but Chester isn't the problem with us defensively.Today too many were off the pace, and Collins is the best right back option we have.

Like some of the clueless tossers who post on here mate! Exactly mate and O’Neill is on about you when he talks about abuse from behind the dugouts 🤣🤣 All O'Neil sees when he turns around is a poor fucker blue in the face, having the life squeezed out of him.I haven't the air in my lungs to shout.

Real shame that, he was knocking on the door for the next England squad, his versatility in being able to play on the left and right might have given him an outside chance of the Euros...... Agreed mate although Rogers just said he put some weight on it in the dressing room so maybe not as bad as 1st feared🤔 I walked into casualty when I did my knee mate, two weeks later I had surgery and didn't play again for over 12 months.😔

probably only caveat is her husband is on the board & according to some he gets things done, e.g. he was responsible for getting the new corner done, which he did, on time on budget & a good job was made of it Maybe he should be our CEO she might take more of an interest if that was the case, her brother doesn't appear to have her business acumen after watching the video of him and Scholes explain the reasons behind hiring Nathan Jones I would not trust him to run a bath on his own. I think he's too busy building their castle in Hassall Green at the minute.

Fortuna fan here and long time follower of the mighty Potters. To be fair to Verlinden, he came into a team that is doing really well at the moment after a difficult start of the season. He is supposedly showing good things in training and is impressing the staff. I think he will play more in the near future. Don't come on here with your balanced take on things, FC! The boy must fail! The most ironic post of the year!

He was good yesterday but he needs to be braver in possession more often. His ball retention is very good but as part of a front 3, he needs to play more forward/key passes. Think the problem is that we don't get enough forward runners, and when he looks up there aren't any options to play forward balls,he then turns back and ends up playing it sideways or back, it's so frustrating.

Thats what he does with average players, makes a team that's hard to beat. This is the crux of the matter though isn't it? Everyone can see he's made us hard to beat and there is value in that. What people are moaning about and questioning is, does he have it in his locker to coach average players* (we actually have some above average Championship players but still...) to attack teams and setup his teams to be open and expansive? Why has he regressed from last season where we were setting up to have a go at teams to now, where we are starting some games like we've won a competition to be here. Fletcher Clarke Matondo Brown Mikel Thompson Six players signed by this manager in either midfield or forward areas and still it remains that our best attacking player is Nick Powell, and our best midfielder is Jordan Cousins. Two players already at the club and two players signed by a previous manager. To be fair Powell was signed by another manager who then hardly played him.Come to think about it he hardly played Cousins either, who has improved massively during O'Neil's tenure.

Has he had surgery do you know? . I would say so. Saw something on Instagram yesterday and he had the same patchwork dressing on that I had. I'd say, though, that he had his operation fairly recently. I believe he has the same injury as Billy Gilmour had at Chelsea and the same injury and operation I had. I injured mine on 21st September and I wasn't able to have the operation until 31st October, in part, because the damage was so bad the scans couldn't determine the extent of the injury initially due to the swelling. Presumably, just from looking at the Instagram post, Ty has been the same. The post suggested that he was about to bin the crutches and the machine to keep his leg at the right angle with a comment "my best friends for last 6 weeks". 👍 Did you have an articular cartilage injury?

Getting to grips with the pace of our play? And those one, twos with the yellow boards are like doing a one two with half our team - ie it comes back to you at groin height They are more mobile than our Sam!
