Also looks promising for next season as if the management team believes hes ready for the step up to the championship then he may get game time in our first team at some point next season whether he will need another half a season in the championship on loan or of he will start the season in our first team in the prem is up to pulis & co

He's also been criticising the FA's decision to ban Huth for hitting Senderos. I'm not sure how he can justify defending that. Hes not criticising the Fa's decison in banning him hes criticising the fact that they were allowed to ban him but not allowed to ban wigans player for that foul on the castle player

Pulis wanted to get rid of the entire youth setup along with everyone in it. wasnt that when we had no money under the icelanders though?

15 million or fuck off! They might have contractual part ownership of Ryan but Asmir is OURS! I thought they just had first refusal on Ryan. Part ownership? They don't even have first refusal any more i'm sure when he signed his new deal it Spinksy said that the first refusal clause is gone

I'l stick my neck on the line here and say if Gary Neville was not england coach ryan would not of got a look in at england level no matter how good he's been this season i think as long as Nevilles part of the coaching set up i think we'll see ryan get pciked for quite a few of the squads as i geniunely believe that he rates Ryan very highly

Upson center, Huth to the left....or david kemp with a broken leg ;D ;D Though I consider Shotton to have less talent than a wounded donkey, it's more because I feel his actions off the pitch are worse than that of Pennant and yet seemingly he's still ok in TP's books. I don't see JP as some sort of god, but I just disagree with a rule for one and a different for another. I'm sure shotton would be straight out the door if we could find someone to have him or if we'd got enough cover at ful back without him

I didn't watch them against Wales tonight (due to my attention being on the England game), but what a side they've got on paper. Kompany, Vemaelen, Fellaini, Dembele, Hazard, Lukaku...They were 9/4 to win their qualifying group and are 50/1 to win the World Cup. History suggests that a European team won't win the tournament in Brazil, but I can see them having the potential to reach the quarters or semis with that line-up. Apart from Spain they've got as good a team as anyone in Europe. Courtois, Vermaelen, Lombaerts, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Kompany, Fellaini, Witsel, Defour, Dembele, Hazard, Mertens, Lukaku, Mirallas. That's an incredible team, of which the majority are relatively young too. They could all be there at the next Euro's, possibly even World Cup. Dont forget a certain Stoke youngster will most probably be there to

You can bet your arse its true or at least has some semblance of reality. When it comes to transfers, we are absolutely useless. Our lack of understanding and knowledge of basic rules is ridiculous. Behind the scenes, you should have seen the panic about ensuring that our ground conformed to UEFA regulations ahead of our participation in the Europa League. We almost ballsed that one up as well and that had nowt to do with transfers! Come on then Dave you can't say that and not tell us how we nearly ballsed it up haha

I'm alot happier after the 2nd half performance and extra time as it seems we've actually looked the better side since the subs have been made. Still worried by how many goals were conceding from set pieces though

QUick tip, don't use a solicitor, magistrates hate them. Plead guilty and say how stupid you were and you realise what you did, you'll get the minimum if you do that. Of all the stupid comments posted on here that is right up there with the best of them. Write back to them admitting your error and showing remorse for your bad driving. Ask then to be considered for the driver improvement course. Costs about 200 quid and means no points or endorsements on your licence. If they say no you will likely receive a summons for due care which would result in about .3-4 points, a fine and a hundred quid costs and victim surcharge. I'd say that's probably your best bet, I'm not sure what she got I'l see if I can find out for you

I don't blame Davies for accepting our offer of a great contract, nor for staying on that money for four years. Fair play to the lad - he looked adfter himself and his family, something we would all do in the same circumstances. I blame Pulis for signing him as part of his "make sure our Anthony has a career as a professional footballer" agenda. No doubt the Orlando friendly is part of the same agenda now young Anthony has fled our shores. Nepotism in all its glory. I'm sorry mate but thats bullshit he was highly rated by Southampton fans having been at Southampton for half a season and being voted there player of the season the saints fans were gutted when he came to us. He'd played premiership and uefa cup football for Middlesborough and was highly rated by Boro fans where he'd been unlucky with injuries. It had nothing to do with Pulis Jr going to Southampton he signed for them 2 weeks after Davies came here and the friendly with Orlando again has nothing to do with Pulis Jr and has everything to do with the fact they are our sister club and that they came over to us last year to play a friendly. As previous posters have said it just never worked out for him here I think he was brought in more for if we got relegated in the first season as were Soares and Tonge and I think if we had been relegated then we would of seen all 3 alot more over the last 3 seasons

what i dont get and i've said it in the academy thread is that why have they only given them a 1 yr deal? surely we should be offering them 2/3 yr deals as if they are all 17/18/19 yr olds now then they will be able play in the u21 squad for a few yrs so why not give them an incentive to sign the deal instead of just giving them 12 months seems very odd

Says on official website we have offered 10 youngsters a 1 yr development deal to play in the new u21 team. Why not offer them a 2 or 3 yr deal and actually make it worth there while?

Look my one and only comment on this is tony pulis has his ways of bringing through youth talent those who are prepared to follow it will succeed here those that don't or won't accept it will move on. Tony wishes all the youth players to be "toughened up" at lower league level and dependant on ability in his eyes depends which league you go out on loan to. Shotton started in non league and progressed to higher league each year till he reached the championship and then the next pre season he was included. Cuvelier and marshall should take it as a compliment that they started in league one because that means in my view that tp thinks that both should be ready for premier league football in two years. It will be interesting to see if both players reject his policy and come better off for it or in the case of Cuvelier he sticks it out and plays championship football next year and signs a new contract with us. One thing is for sure if you don't do it Tony's way at this club now and into the foreseeable future you won't be included in our plans. +1 this is the way i see it. He likes to get them out in the lower leagues and make them see how lucky they are to be at a premier league team as i suppose it was the way he was brought through but whether flo and the other academy players will stick around only they know

He didn't ask for an exhorbitant contract either. He simply rejected the offer that we made. Marshall was never going to stay because he wasn't prepared to sit around and wait another 3 years to get his chance. That was his perogative and if he felt that it was in his interests to get away, then fair play. I would say that he was right to think the way that he was doing in all fairness. If we had offered him a ridiculous sum of money to stay, then no doubt he would have signed a life changing contract but the truth is that his deal at Leicester is not that much different than the one we offered him. In fact, in terms of basic wages, I believe it is LESS than we offered him. Maybe Marshall will be considered to be the first that "got away". Whatever your views of TP, we haven't released anyone that has gone on to do better than we expected. You could argue that Karl Henry has but he had loads of opportunities with us, under various managers, and never really cut the mustard. Most were glad to see him go. Ben Foster is another that some use but with Ed de Goey and Simmo in front of him in the pecking order, you can hardly blame Pulis for letting him go to Manure when the opportunity presented itself for the lad. Dont quote me on this but ive been told his agent(supposedly his dad) asked for 20k a week for him to stay here now if thats correct(and im not saying it is im just sayin wot ive been told) then im glad we got rid.

Pennant was where he should be, on the bench dont get me wrong shotton didnt have the greatest game but when pennant came on he didnt do anything to show that he should be in the starting xi.

the club will not bring the old badge back for the simple fact they cannot copyright the badge. Its been posted on here previously that we changed the badge so that the new one could be copyrighted so that the club has full ownership of the badge therefore stopping people from using it without the clubs permission and therefore maximising as much revenue as possible for the club. Didnt the club make a driving instructor who posts on here remove the clubs crests from his vehicle as he didnt have permission to use the badges?

the reason hes gone back to league one was because of the injury he suffered last season the broken leg i believe the club werent sure how hed recover from it or how much it would set him back therefore they sent him to wednesday mainly becuase pulis knows megson better than anyone and trusts him to give an honest opinon on the player. there was rumour a few weeks back that he'd spend the 2nd half of season in the championship but the fact pulis wants him to experience a promotion push would lead to him going back to wednesday
