The ONLY way i see us staying up now comes down to Swansea Everton this Saturday.
If Swansea loose they are 5 points ahead with their next 2 being Man City and Chelsea. I can see a scenario where we have to win at Swansea on the last day to stay up.
How else does everyone else see it ... IF the great escape is possible !?

The Everton defeat finished us off. It's QPR, Notts Forest and Leeds next season. I can see us cut adrift if not mathematically down before the last two fixtures in May. Sad truth is that this team is simply not good enough for this level of football. We look like what we will be next term; namely a second flight outfit. But hey, it's not the end of the world folks. We can bounce back if we work hard and play our cards right. Stoke is a great club with superb supporters. The Potters will rise again. And let's not forget that we've had some great times in the top flight. Who would of thought back in 2008 that we would have lasted for a decade in the premiership. We've taken them all on and we've beaten them all at one time or another. Stoke City is back on the football map. It won't take us another 23 years to get back to the summit. This season has been dog shit but I'm confident that better times lie ahead.

At least the welsh clueless twat got us some top half finishes. If your hero had of been capable of doing that there would have been no need to have dispensed with him.

We won't stay up - 6 wins all season, 1 win in the last 10 games and our survival will probably depend on us winning 3 out of the remaining 5 games including Liverpool away !
PL has got us fitter, more organised defensively, and playing more as a team but we still can't score enough to win games.
I can't see any way that we will avoid the drop.

The pundits keep saying one team always puts an unbelievable run together at the end and, frankly, we are in luck because it would he unbelievable.
Still, we got 9 out of our last 15 in 2003.

No, it’s not possible.
Thanks for asking.

It's quite possible. We've just got to score a point more than three other teams.

On the back of what Pulis had achieved before him. Mark Hughes didn’t work any major magic act at Stoke, the hard work was all done for him. The first season under him, the team were still fit, we didn’t get injuries, once he’d been here a couple of seasons, that all began to ebb. Mark Hughes is a massive cunt, and the warning signs that the management team/hierarchy had took their eye off the ball was evident as early as the build up to the 2016-2017 season. Just my thoughts 👍🏼

The goal difference is now kicking in Isn’t it? We are effectively 5 points adrift, so I think we need 10 points from the last 5 games to have a chance. Wins against Wet Spam, Burnley and Palace leaves survival hanging on the Swansea game and possibly survival at stake for both clubs. A defeat against spammers spells the end I think.

We could do it by drawing on Monday and beating Burnley, Palace and Swansea.
We're down.

getting fed up of these weekly threads now. Next game is must win? we've been saying that for the last 12 and we've won what? one game?. We have won 6 games all season we are not going to go on a run, if we get 4 points from the last 5 we will be about par for the season.
Stop doing it to yourselves, we are relegated. Time to start blooding youngsters and planning for next year

Before the Everton game I said win and we’ll stay up, lose and we’ll probably remain winless all season. We’re currently that dreaded combination of being not very good and not very lucky so unfortunately my opinion hasn’t changed.
Ultimately we need 6 points from West Ham/Burnley or I think the Palace/Swansea games will be dead rubbers.
Despite all this stranger things have happened and it is possible.....

Looks like we can forget everyone else apart from Huddersfield and Swansea now, and Swansea is a long shot.
We've got to assume Southampton are down.
We'll probably know if we've got a chance after Huddersfield's next 2 games, which seem their only 2 remaining winnable games. As long as they don't win either (which is a big if), it's still on. 6 or 7 points could even do it.
We really need Everton to help us out.
Huddersfield 32 (-28) WATFORD EVERTON man city chelsea ARSENAL
Swansea 32 (-19) EVERTON man city CHELSEA bournemouth SOTON STOKE

Hope you think it was worth it for the mess hughes left us in. Strewth ...... Hughes only survived for so long because of who he wasnt not who he was. If we had been allowed constructive comment on him after 2015/16 it may not have got this far.

We've reached the stage where only our results really matter.
If Swansea win against Everton, we go down 82% of the time, if they lose we still go down around 82% of the time.
Lose to WHU and we're 94% relegated, win and it's *only* a 68% chance.

Think we will pretty much know 5pm on Saturday. palace, hudd, Swansea all have games they have good chance of winning, if any of those win their game I think they will be out of our reach. Could be a grim Saturday night.

Coates not doing everything possible to boost our forward line sealed our fate.
Stay up with our striker options? Not a chance.

Never to late, we were once 10 points from safety with 9 games left then won 7 of them including wins at the Emirates and Old Trafford

If we don't beat West Ham on Monday, we're humped.
Arnie, will score at least twice, we're down.

Looking at our fixtures, we have 4 winnable games, we have to win 3 realistically to be sure of staying up.
Looking at everyone elses fixtures...I honestly dont think neither Huddersfield or Southampton have got another win in them. Can only see Swansea getting one win, potentially 2.
There is a lot to play for and on paper we have the 2nd best run in out of the 5 teams fighting to avoid the last 2 relegation places.
