If hes done it because he aired his frustrations thats fair enough, but it should have been sorted in Highes office with a bollocking. To leave him on the sidelines and then bring him on at the end as means of a punishment, especially in a game like this is unforgivable I am hoping there is another reason

Hes a PRAT, ok hes now a Stoke player but on moral grounds his past antics are dreadfull. Putting him into a squad that contains Irish internationals is in my mind disrespectful to them, or am I being naive and this signing is a way of upseting Walters and Whelan with that in mind. To be chosen for your country and then to lie about your grandmother being dead proves to me that he is a walking time bomb, and I hope it doesnt upset the obvious good spirits which are evident in the squad. Time will tell.

Really enjoyed his interview and his diplomacy. He is STOKE through and through, and I personally think we have turned a corner in our attempt to not only improve the team, but our image as well. Some may not give a toss as to whether we are liked or hated, but we can be proud that the man who gave us this opportunity of premier football is comitted to the cause, and not one of the many in this league that only care about the money and not the fans. The free away transport is a major initiative. Well done for that. I am really looking forward to the start of the season with the new team on board, it cant start soon enough.

Would it not be too much to expect both Stoke and Chelsea to arrange a testimonial match pre season. Not only would it be a way of providing him with some cash so that he can at least have some respect back into his life, it would be a perfect way of showing our appreciation for one of the most talented players ever to wear a Stoke shirt. Ok so hes pissed most of it away but from a purely humanitarian aspect I think he deserves a little help. Just a thought.

I agree that some of the anti pulis posts have been disgracefull and that is well out of order I like many on this forum have followed Stoke for many years and the premiership has been great, but watching the Southampton game was like watching 2 mid table championship teams I appreciate that the game had repercusions regarding our position but it was an ideal game for Mr Pulis to demonstrate his intentions not only to the fans especially the ones who travelled, and to the owner that having achieved the safety 40 points it was showtime . How naive of me. So I guess we will have to wait and pontificate the options. His failings for me go deeper than the results and I am sure that if he would have kept in touch with the feelings of the supporters and come out of post match interviews with more thought and more honesty and actually to admit that he has made mistakes it would in my opinion helped to aleviate the bad feeling he has created with the same excuses tales of bad referees etc etc One of the reasons that Lou Macari was popular was that he made the fans feel as though he really cared about us. A good PR person could have pointed him in the right direction The chairman should make a statement asap and then at least these vile comments can be put to bed I want a change, I want to see players giving their all for the cause We need to build the pride back into our club And that must happen now

No that it's thankfully all over can we have a straw poll - state either STAY or GO. I am interested to see what percentage will want him to stay. It appears that 60/40 would like him to leave but it is often hard to gauge the overall feeling. STAY or GO - no other comments please GO

This is only the second time I have posted on the forum, I have been reading with interst the many different comments made by our supporters. The point I would like to make is regarding our manager. I have defended him in the past, and like many have said I never thought I would see Stoke in the premiership. This season has been one to forget, the manager must take the blame for this, football is a fickle game and any manager in any division of the English league is always looking over his shoulder in case its his turn next. I feel that his attitude towards the supporters has been poor to say the least, constant moaning about referee decisions, moaning about the number of games in the Europa league, etc etc. How refreshing to hear Roberto Martinez in his post match interviews, not once has he made excuses re the FA cup games,he carries himself with dignity and has the respect of not only the supporters but his players as well. Respect has to be earned in any walk of life and if he does stay I hope it is with a proviso from the chairman that his tactics have to change. I would like to think that hes had the crap frightened out of him, no one wants to lose their job and their substantial wages. I also believe there are bad apples in the inner workings of Stoke City, people with their own agendas putting themselves before the fans and even the players. Its his chance to show in the remaining games that we can play entertaining football with the squad weve got, if not then I am more than happy to say THANK YOU AND GOOD BYE Sorry to go on a bit.

Hi All Just been thinking about the Suarez incident and the fact that it looks like the FA are finally going to do something about it got me thinking about players that remove their shirts after scoring a goal. We see it week in and week out and the player gets a yellow card for it, but WHY do they do it and when did it start. Also who was the last Stoke player(if any) to get booked for doing it. Is it just a macho thing or is it deep rooted in our dna. Good luck to Ryan on his call up, well overdue.

Hi I have been a regular reader of this board over many years, and have lived through the bad years of being a Stoke supporter and taking the rough with the smooth. I feel compelled to say a few words to the anti Pulis brigade. This forum can be used as a vehicle to vent frustrations as to the way we play and the way we deal with winning and losing, it should not be a personal vendetta against either the manager the chairman or the players. Just lately I have been amazed at the negativity and the back biting from so called Stoke supporters who are slating the manager in a derogative manner. OK criticising is fine and promotes healthy debates but not in a way which is offensive and borders on slander. I can only assume that the anti Pulis brigade which have slated him since his arrival were not around in the dark days of the 80s when we were changing managers almost every season. I have been priveliged to be a Stoke supporter all my life, my first game was in 1959, so I guess you can work out that I have seen many comings and goings in this time. Please get behind the team and SUPPORT them through the good and the bad times, Tony Pulis has done wonders for our club, and Peter Coates has put his money where his mouth is, give them both the respect they deserve, and yes criticise them and have your say but PLEASE do not make it into a personal rant. BE LOYAL BE PROUD BE STOKE DAVE
