It is a princely £1 for season ticket holders to watch Newcastle Town on Saturday. They play Sutton Coldfield Town which is always a nice tasty game. It is made all the better by their manager, a West Brom supporter who always rises to the bait when he loses it. I will be elsewhere but I can recommend it as a good afternoon out.

I will go and watch Bristol Rovers who now sadly qualify as non league. Going to be a long way back too after what I have seen from them in the first two games. They are blessed with the deadly combination of a manager trying to play complicated systems with simple players and a board who have decided that the route to success is to go shopping in jumble sales. BM I watched them lose at Altrincham, Mick. My God, it seems only yesterday I was watching them tan our backsides 4..0 at the Brit. I'm not too sure about the manager being complicated but he certainly wasn't doing anything for a group of players whose confidence looked shot by his touchline ranting and antics. After the game a few Brizzle supporters went onto the team bus and expressed their views!

They do indeed offer discount for all Stoke season ticket holders for every home game. Admission on Saturday is a princely £1 on production of your season ticket!
Decent game in prospect as well. Always tasty when they play Sutton Coldfield Town. Their manager is a foul mouthed West Brom supporter who will take the bait if you fancy giving him some stick when he inevitably loses it.
I shall be doing non-league day elsewhere but I have seen Castle a couple of times this season and they are a very decent footballing team. Well worth a visit.

Used to watch Stoke at home and Vale when we were away. Ditto I like to think that the moderators are quite tolerant but unfortunately some of you have to push it too far. Any further transgressions against common decency of this vile and disgusting nature will leave us with no alternative but to suspend accounts!!

Don't worry, I'm sure he won't be as shit as Tunny so you won't have to be in denial for years. I suspect he's mainly going to be used in home games, where the powerful players will be less useful against packed defenses. That translates into we now have a manager who knows how to use creative players who don't necessarily have the attributes of Mo Farrah,

So 3 more points than usual prohibits any critism of the new regime then?! A much more interesting discussion would be one that explained how you managed to extract that conclusion from any of the above. On second thoughts.....nah, it wouldn't.

dead right Mark... i wanted to progress 1 player at a time 1 season at a time... thats my my work, homelife, and friends ethic for the rest of my life...and would have a beer with you anytime matey We could talk about how we managed to progress to our best Premier League finish and most points gained last season doing exactly the opposite to what you suggest and prefer over a beer anytime mate. 1 beer at a time, mind!

I was posting about the first half at half time. For the second week running we were better when Crouch and Adam came on, went a bit more direct and toned down the poor backstreet Barca drag act we seem to be aiming for. Yes lets have an end to not booting the ball back to the opposition. We all know it will end in tears and relegation. Just like it did last seas.....oh, hang on.

and for those who justify it in one way or another know they are doing it out of anti hoof ball philosophy.....in the end we did what we used to do for the last 20 mins.... and looked far more effective, which resulted in a draw i want to win NICE, but more than anything I WANT TO WIN.... what I've seen so far = survival struggle...... that doesn't bother me as 17th every year suits me, but this pushing on bollocks is really going to test our loyalty... Dave In fairness, Minty I think we got the message that you were happy to watch any old shit as long as it meant survival a long time ago.

And I'm being kind. Pathetic embarrassing wank. I don't know. There were plenty of diagonal hoofs from Ryan aimed in the direction of Crouchies head when we were getting desperate and we seldom looked like scoring. I'd have thought it would have satisfied the people like your good self who yearn for football of yesteryear?

didn't say he had been did i? i did ask a question though which, once again, you just completely ignore as you have no answer to.........do you think that despite Pulis already having signed 4 players this summer that he only became aware of their transfer policy last night? tiring, predictable and agenda driven always eh momo! i've got more chance of a proper discussion with a mute 2 year old than with you I think a two year old would destroy you in any sort of debate to be honest. It clearly came to a head yesterday. You think Pulis is a cunt and Parrish is blame free. People with eyes and ears and lacking decade long bitter hatreds think there might be more to it than that. That's the summary I suppose. Sheiky, this is all making me feel so nostalgic. You camped on the board to ensure you can detect and rebuff anything and everything that could be deemed as criticism of the Great Leader and backing it up with completely made up bollocks about "the suits" that gets repeated until it becomes fact. Its like being in a time machine!

No I think that is the distraction number doing the rounds in the twilight world of the see no evil Taliban. Charlie for £5m etc ???? Move over Cartwright and you backstabbing suits: the Sheiky boy is in town!! You could give the Bet365 accountants a hand in your spare time. They dont have your nous when it comes to turning year after year of heavy losses into a profit however they cut the financial year. Wankers. Oh I see now, you are on the Preston bean counters side. I will now eradicate Oatcake issues 1 - 178 from my memory, as the Etruria 'Taliban' has instructed you to do. Who do you think advises the greatest Chief Executive in Stafford Stokies shoe size on how to deal with those pesky Supporters Council types?

The transfer team could do with you on board Sheiky if you can promise to get £50m for those three combined. You are wasted my son. Should cover the investment total in Crouchie and Palacios with some left over with that. Any ideas on the rest? I must have dreamed about all the losses the Coates family covered then. Phew thank goodness for that. You missed the 'etc' old boy. 15M on Bego, 10M on Shawcross, 8M on N'Zonzi, 66% of the 50M all making a profit, money back on Charlie £5M, £2.5 for Jonny and we're getting there aren't we? If he can't get that, the FM and Rhyl manager of the year needs his wide arse kicking! Since we've spoke the Crouch fee has gone up to 15,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,00, in wankstain land hasn't it? A club that recently teetered on the edge of bankruptcy might get a bit nervous about it don't you think? Palace clearly did. Remember not every club has a smashing super family prepared to make good the massive losses Pulisball investment requires. Looks a bit shite compared with the value Stoke now seem to be able to get for an awful lot less as Im sure you will recognise? Nice to change approach when you've got the £50M equity of Begovic, Shawcross, N'Zonzi etc plus over £400M in revenues accrued and the owners plonk their depreciations into whichever financial period to suit their argument I suppose? The transfer team could do with you on board Sheiky if you can promise to get £50m for those three combined. You are wasted my son. Tone just did. The second he realised that Palace haven't got a smashing family prepared to give him the £20m a year he needs to avoid losing his never been relegated record. Not a bad return for 20m a year is it? A club that recently teetered on the edge of bankruptcy might get a bit nervous about it don't you think? Palace clearly did. Ungreatful sad fucks. 1 Tony Pulis is worth more to this club than 10 of some if you lot. I suppose some of you will soon fuck off when the going gets a bit tough. Bye bye! Zzzzzzz Tone just did. Sorry Dave but as much as I dislike the previous manager for his standard of football and his lack of youth development I have to say that is wrong. Around the middle point of his time here I used to have a very good contact within the club and I know for a fact that Pulis used to regularly have a selection of the young lads training with the first team throughout the season. They might not have got a standing ovation but they were involved. That's about as far as it got though. He did. You're absolutely right. He drafted them in when he needed to make up the nunbers for his "shape" sessions. When several age groups were filling the Clayton Wood canteen, he threw a wobbler and had them all ferried out to Stone Dominoes. TP had absolutely no interest in anything other than the 1st team. He had many qualities but looking after ALL levels of the club weren't one of them! That is absolutely what he used them for. I can confirm beyond any question.

I like this term "false 9" and look forward to discussing the "pretend 5", "imitation 10" and "masquerading 7". As with many things now taken for granted in football like time allowed for the taking of an already awarded penalty at the end of a game, Stoke City were instrumental in its introduction. We were fist in with this type of terminology by describing the contribution of a useless centre forward who not only hardly ever scored a goal but hadn't a clue on how to take up positions in the penalty area where he just might be dangerous as the "Mama Role"!!!

Obviously a contrary view to the mass consensus but I would much rather see us sign Redmond than Assaidi. I've seen him playing from a kid in the youth teams at Birmingham and have always thought he is a future England star. His performances for the U21's have only heightened that view. For me he is at 20 a far more exciting and pacy prospect than Assaidi who, in my view was poor and predictable for most full backs for more games last season than those he played well in. I understand the inconsistency of wingers but at 25 I'm not sure he is the real deal at the price. People seem to have remembered only his fine finish to the season. Just my view. You also said Caspar Schmeichel would't get a game in Stoke Academy. Did I? Well remembered.

Please dont talk sense like that kav - it will disturb the delicate balance of the minds of people who feel oblidged to slag Jon at every given opportunity (or Mama in the past). You introduced Mama into the conversation just to show SJW in the best light possible, didn't you?

Plenty of bile being aimed at a club that has managed to produce some of the best young English talent around over the last few years.
Just think about the club we would be now if we hadn't used our Academy as a job centre for out of work useless mates and seen as something as robbing the front of house investment.

The new flooring is the same colour and you have to look hard to tell the difference but you can feel the difference. It is most definitely non slip. When I'm laying face down on the floor with my beer flying up in the air and my pie shooting across the concourse, I'll remember these words. We can't hold Stoke responsible for your Friday nights in the Marquis, can we Pete?

Didn't the Vale get beaten by Southport at the weekend? Battered more like. Vale scored late goals to make the scoreline only seem humiliating.
