Still doesn't look like the half time queuing for beers has been resolved. I like the grey colour though.

It's contrary to the twitter photos, which still show polished concrete flooring in family stand.
Hopefully they were taken before the flooring was laid !

The new flooring is the same colour and you have to look hard to tell the difference but you can feel the difference. It is most definitely non slip.

"The Family Stand has had a major revamp also with graffiti artists coming in to jazz up the area, with paintings of current Stoke stars including Charlie Adam and Stephen Ireland, along with former club crests being immortalised on the walls."
Dear Sir,
I am disgusted to read that Stoke City FC are actively promoting graffiti in an area where there are lots of children. In fact, I mentioned this to my younger sister who confirmed my fears by saying "graffiti is bad."
I haven't got children, in fact I am a virgin with a tiny, freckly penis, but if I did have them then I wouldn't want my offspring looking at crudely drawn cocks and balls on the walls of the concourse while they are enjoying their pre-match burgers, which are always cooked to perfection by your highly qualified catering staff.
Once again, I feel the club are endorsing acts of hooliganism and pandering to the neanderthal 90% of the support who no doubt enjoy seeing words like "Fuck", "Wanker" and "Cunt Flap" scrawled onto the sides of bus shelters. As a highly qualified individual with an AS-level in Media Studies, I am appalled by this, and if the matter is not resolved then I will write to Banksy.
Yours faithfully,
Kyle

Good to see the club promoting changes like this. But part of me thinks some painting and tarting up should be done every off season?
Still hope this attitude to making improvements continues and we finally see automated turnstiles, more TVs on the concourse, a way of dealing with the incredibly small concourse, road improvements, filling the corner in etc.

I'm interested in the LED lights. If they're anything like the piles of shit LED lights ive got in my house they'll need to turn them on on every other Friday night so they warm up in time!

LED light bulbs are instant! I think you may have CF light bulbs they are the kind that warm up, LED light bulbs do tend to be much lower powered and save 90% energy and can give the same light output, the less energy is saved by not producing the heat to make light.

Now just put pictures of players from stokes history instead of the mouldy yellow plastic that looks hideous around the stadium.
I'm also happy to bring the pressure washer up one evening to blast off the mould that seems to be around the stadium.

Been done already mate - pressure washerers and paintists have cleaned all the grot off the outside of the stadium and given everything a nice lick of paint (roof, doors, cladding etc). Much like the onlooker though, I'm intrigued as to what form the new LED floodlights will take. It says there's been 'a new installation' - will this mean new lamps/fixtures or an upgrade to the existing fittings? A load of clubs are redoing their lights this close season as a result of a new Premier League ruling that says lighting has to be of a certain level of 'lux' to aide HD broadcasts. Villa and Man City are two I know of as I've seen the contractors installing them at Villa Park and the Ethiad over the summer. Haven't seen any cherry pickers whilst passing the Britannia though...

Definitely LED's mate. My lady got them from Ikea of all places. Being in the trade, I did warn her of cheap alternatives but hey, she knew best.
