I’ll renew. Scoring goals is over-rated anyway. 😆 I go for the fantastic atmosphere. Oh hang on........

It was strange, but obviously his idea was to shift Clucas (who is clearly one of his favourites it seems, not sure why tbh) into midfield so that’s why he brought Williams on to replace Adam. Most people would have said the simpler and more obvious thing to do would have been to replace Adam with Woods and keep the defence as it was. For me it just upset the balance of the whole team and we became even less effective after that than we were before. He keeps making the same mistakes that is not bad luck it's bad management simple as that, should have been a like for like or as close as possible to keep the disruption to a minimum. I think it’s become quite clear that no manager can manage this group of players. They’re a lost cause. End of.

Yeah heard him mention that. Focal point - that's really worrying. He was focal but for all negative reasons today Yes mate his exact words I find it strange how Jones thinks he was a better focal point than the bloke we’ve just paid £12m for, especially when he was nowhere near the first team 2 weeks ago, has a moan about it then magically appears on the bench yesterday and comes on ahead of Afobe. Jones really is clutching at straws with this group of players isn’t he.

Commentator has just said that Nathan set fire to the players’ ping pong table when he took over, as he thought they were more interested in table tennis. Is there anything at Clayton Wood that he can make a bonfire from? Perhaps build a big ping pong statue and sacrifice Carto in it, like The Wickerman? You could set fire to all the tactics boards at Stoke as they seem to be no use whatsoever at the moment.

That was a strange transfer anyway. They seemed to barter us down from £20m to £12m. Having threatened to have gone on strike, TP & WBA must have been doing cartwheels when SCFC offered £12 million for the waste of space. Say what you like about TP, the thing he was very good at was judging the character of a player. Saido certainly wasn't his type of player and he shouldn't have been ours You can add Imbula and Wimmer to that list as well. Money well spent NOT

Whilst I agree in principle with what you’re saying, you’re forgetting a few things. This is Stoke we’re talking about here. A team that’s been horrendous away from home for months now. So to say we were ‘truly on top’ will never sit well with me with the way we’ve been playing in general. This team is never going to be comfortable and ‘truly on top’ only winning 1-0 away from home. Any decent team would have got at least a 2nd goal to effectively kill off a very poor and clearly doomed Ipswich. Sadly we’re a million miles off that scenario even when we play at home, never mind away. Roll on next season because this one’s been a big steaming pile of sh*t from day 1. Not sure that you're quoting the right person here mate. Sorry mate read it as you thought we were well and truly on top! 😖 To be fair I heard this quite a lot after the game with people saying we were comfortable and well on top and with this team that’s never the case.

I have to be honest, i was fuming after that equaliser went in this afternoon. It just seems that no matter what the situation, we find a way of fucking it up. Coasting 1-0 against the worst side in the division and the manager decides he's going to throw on the quite frankly fucking useless Benik Afobe to play on the wing, then compounds the error by chucking Ryan on at the back, thus creating chaos out of what was previously a comfortable and organised defensive performance. It pains me to say it, but we look incapable of winning any game of football against any team in Britain at the moment. Even The Vale would probably beat us- that's how bad the situation's become. How much worse could it get though? Despite this afternoon's clusterfuck of a managerial performance, it's too early to judge Nathan Jones yet: he's inherited the biggest mess I think any Stoke manager has found himself landed with. However, I can't see how anybody could turn this around- we have a squad of expensive, high earning tosspots on long contracts who no-one in their right mind would want to buy. If this squad were in League One, I'm not sure they'd even finish in the top half, that's how utterly fucking awful they are. How is anyone supposed to sort that out? The whole atmosphere around the club stinks: it's a self-perpetuating culture of failure and antagonism. Fans turn up for matches expecting the worst, so that's what we end up getting. The first mistake players make we turn on them and as a result they go from bad to worse. However, the only reason we are so hostile is because those tosspots on the pitch continually let us down in the past and continue to do so now. It's a spiral of negativity that no one seems able to escape from. We won't go down this season, but next...I'm worried already. The financial situation's not going to get any better and the club must already be haemorrhaging money through its wage bill. Could we do a Sunderland next year? Could it get even worse than that? I'm genuinely worried that it could...and I really don't know what the answer is. To be honest I was fully expecting us to concede, and we duly did. Stoke one nil up away from home is a recipe for disaster. Sadly I wasn’t even that bothered that we had conceded. I’ve given up on this season and just hope we can scrape a few wins to stop us dropping any lower and avoiding any further embarrassment. Next season is a different matter altogether and it’s going to take a huge momentum shift and change in personnel to get us firing again.

I'm surprised at this, surely we'd need to bring in another forward as well as Vokes if we were to let him go. Why? Vokes, afobe, diouf, bojan Make that Vokes, Afobe and Diouf eh? 😉

Hodgson had him at Albion (although it was Steve Clarke who got the best out of him) Palace still short of strikers Well signing him won’t help them if they’re short of strikers will it 😂

Probably because they want to loan the player instead of actually buying him as all Turkish teams seem to want to do.

Crouchie plus £5m & get it done for me.
Of course it will come out as "Peter Crouch plus a cash adjustment with Same Vokes going the other way" or similar.
I can't see them suddenly accepting 4 million less when they're trying to get more than 9 So they want more than £9m + Crouch? That sounds like a bad deal for us to me. I know it gets Crouch off our wage bill but that’s Spurs level of shafting us that is! Crouch has to be worth £3m in this deal surely. He’ll do a job for them off the bench for the remainder of the season, score a few and help keep them up.

I thought this was going to be about the cockney bint on soccer special, who looked like she been dragged in of the street and couldn't string a sentence together. Anybody got any idea who she is? Competition winner? Think she’s the Chelsea Ladies Manager. Doesn’t sound the brightest does she!

If we're all thinking Adam is the solution because of his cameo the other week, we really are clutching at straws. He’s not the solution he’s just a sticking plaster for the time being. We need to find someone with his passing ability for next season. He was brilliant against Leeds and we didn’t half miss him against Preston.

Is it me or could we have asked Villa to bid for him so we could then get him, then we give Villa Bauer? Is this the same Villa Bauer as the one in The Jolly Boys Outing on Only Fools And Horses? 😜
