He’s a very good player, just needs to sort his disciplinary issues out, some of his bookings are just petulance and need to stop if he’s to be a really pivotal player for us. Needs to cut out the stupidity and stop gobbing off at referees.

Pearson, Burger and Junho are a decent midfield trio at this level.

Pearson, Burger and Junho are a decent midfield trio at this level. He's not looking to deploy two deep lying midfielders though. If he was I'd agree entirely.

Pearson, Burger and Junho are a decent midfield trio at this level. Is it strong enough for a promotion push though? Given Pearson's propensity to pick up bookings and knocks I'd certainly be interested in an alternative (that isn't Thompson by the way).

I'd love it if we could move Ben Pearson on in the summer and have Burger as a proper deep-lying midfielder, instead of running around like a headless chicken, collecting yellow cards. Has Pearson ever been match fit since he's been with us? Burger is a proper 8. The reason he's been playing poorly is he isn't a 6. He's not disciplined enough and it takes away his main attributes. We need a proper 6 this summer He's not an 8, hence why we've not seen the best of him and why his single best performance came when he was asked to play as a 6. As an 8, he runs around too much. That's why he's hooked early every single game. Him running around like a headless chicken means he doesn't show off the attributes he has.

In a 4231 with Junho as 1 of the 3 yes but thats unlikely to be the plan.

How many decent deeplying midfielders are we going to have who folk think are something else Etebo, Allen, Laurent, Burger?

In what way has he looked like he wants to play for us? By hugging his mates in the tunnel? If he didn't want to be here, he wouldn't be celebrating an important victory would he I prefer footballers proving it on the pitch not in the tunnel. As a marquee signing he has been woeful. Hopefully StS can get a tune out of him but I have serious doubts. I'd sell if possible. Easier said than done though.

He's been shite I agree but I don't put that down to him not wanting to be here, which was the point I was making.
