It seems Luis Rubiales the President of the Spanish Spanish FF may be forced out for this kiss on Jenni Hermoso. He also grabbed his crotch rather suggestively at the final whistle, in front of the Queens 16 year old daughter as it happened! I must admit he certainly went for it. The Spanish womens team have refused to play until he is gone.

I'm more concerned by how he twisted her head around 180 degrees.

The kiss, I’m not sure I can say much. Latin culture is different.
The crotch grab and the boob grab, nah. The culture isn’t that different.
Don’t want to get fired, don’t grab a women’s breasts.
That’s a pretty easy thing to avoid doing.

The world gets crazier by the day They'd just won the world cup so let's put it a bit more in perspective. It was a heated and joyous moment. He apologised and it was a spur of the moment thing. Like when footballers score goals and jump all over eachother, even to the point of kissing eachother. If the genders were reversed and a woman kissed a bloke, I doubt anyone would bat an eyelid. It would likely be considered funny. It was wrong and he's already been publicly shamed. That's enough imo. But anything more than losing his job because of this massive knicker wetting witch hunt is ridiculous imo.

It being a heated and joyous moment doesn’t justify him going beyond a hug and a kiss on the cheek; it’s ridiculous he thinks he can stay in his position. “If the genders were reversed”...yeah, because that would happen. Fuck him off. He’s single-handedly spoilt their victory, the cretin.

I personally wouldn’t think to kiss someone working under me if we had great success but I do know that Latin culture is different. I leave it to them to judge that and I will accept how they judge it. They know their culture far more than I. I do know that, even in the wildest of fairy tale exaggerations, grabbing a women by her breast or crotch pumping isn’t acceptable. I’ll judge him on that and I’ll accept the rest as it comes.

Eighty female players have apparently refused to play for Spain until he's sacked. Where the fuck are the blokes? The sad truth is if Rodri for example said as captain of the men he wasn't playing the next round of euro qualifiers this bellend's arse would be bouncing down the stairs in minutes!
Hermoso and her family instead are getting pressured to release a statement to save this guy. Imagine your daughter being Spain's best player when nobody give a shit; being miles off as a team 8 years ago; galvanising a squad fragmented with loads pulling out because they didn't like the coach and; somehow being the best side in the world. Yet, your daughter isn't being asked about any of that but instead some baldy twat who obviously doesn't know how to conduct himself in the moment nor on reflection.
How the fuck has a bloke managed to make his country's women winning a world cup all about a bloke?

Quite the opposite, he's come out with aggressive self-justification. He called it a "peck" and insisted it was consensual even though the woman in question has said it wasn't. "She said no but she really meant yes....", isn't that often an abuser's defence?

He has to go, totally unacceptable behaviour, no contrition and he totally took the shine off Spain’s historic win. The manager of the women’s team needs to go as well, another odious individual.
Noustie makes a great point about where are the men’s team in all this, showing no solidarity at all.

I mean christ, talk about being stuck in the dark ages. He should face criminal charges IMO. Any normal person on the street doing that would at least get a tap on the shoulder from an officer of the law.

Any normal person on the street doing that would at least get a tap on the shoulder from an officer of the law. I think he should lose his job certainly. Criminal charges might be a step too far given the context. If he walked up to someone in the street, or grabbed someone on a normal day at work and kissed them full on the lips, certainly he should be getting a visit from the police and a day in court. However, in the highly emotional atmosphere of the moments following a World Cup win, I'd say his behaviour is probably ill-judged and inappropriate rather than predatory or sexually motivated. Hopefully the men's team will follow their female counterparts though and refuse to play any more internationals unless this oaf is removed from his job.

Watch the video and he is also patting her very lower back as she leaves his embrace. He’s also closely embracing other players nuzzling his face well into their personal space. Disgusting "I love me so do you" character. He will be gone by Monday. He reminds of an Italian male staff nurse on my ward when I was in hospital few years ago. Coming on shift hugging and embracing the younger nurses in full view of patients and visitors. He didn’t last long.

Has anyone seen the video doing the rounds of a women horse owner kissing the jockey on the lips yesterday? Went back to x to copy the link but had gone. Looked a very similar scenario. Wonder what repercussions there will be from that. Edit — found it, although can’t be bothered doing the thing which turns it to a proper link. Is there a difference between the two, yet ITV are celebrating it? I thought it was his wife at first. x.com/itvracing/status/1695116548711596330?s=46&t=xH_8SSAykdm9wG4EltUkXQ

I've had friends and colleagues both male and female grab me and kiss me in happiness and excitement. I see it as them being happy human beings. I never considered it unlawful. Maybe if tongues were being forced down their throat etc then that would be a different ball game.

He should 100% lose his job. If I did that in work I’d be sacked before I’d even managed to catch a breath. Rightfully so. Women shouldn’t have to live their lives thinking they can and will get kissed by a man at any moment. It’s pathetic and I’m sorry but I’m tired of other blokes defending blatantly shit behaviour under the guise of this politically correct culture war. There are for sure things to be debated about the modern age, and not all societal change is good. This is not up for debate. Imagine if it was your sister, mother or daughter.

She lifted him up and initiated the kiss, err apparently www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66626410The Spanish football federation says it will take legal action over Jenni Hermoso's comments about its president Luis Rubiales. "The evidence is conclusive," it said. "Mr President has not lied." In a statement by players' union Futpro, which is representing Hermoso, she is quoted as saying "in no case did I seek to raise (lift) the president" while they embraced on the podium. The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) said: "The RFEF and Mr President will demonstrate each of the lies that are spread either by someone on behalf of the player or, if applicable, by the player herself. "The RFEF and the President, given the seriousness of the content of the press release from the Futpro union, will initiate the corresponding legal actions." Men digging deeper?
