The average attendance is around 8,500. That one attandance has been used to discredit the league. You could take some Carabao Cup attendances in this country and do the same Just over 3k once turned up for a Prem game Not seen a league cup attendance of 600 have you?

Even FGR get more than that Plus of course this is comparing 4th division clubs with the shiny Saudi league

Let’s be honest the decisions regarding the 2030 World Cup were so that it was pretty much fixed that Saudi Arabia would get it in 2034. Saudi Arabia will soon find its in Europe regarding the Champions League.

With the way things are going there won't be any tourneys in the middle east.
Best (and safest) bet is NA or EU.
As for Saudi football I didn't even click on links l during the transfer window, let alone now. It's a footballers graveyard.

And another cocked up fixture list. Well manoeuvred FIFA. We'd better get our rainbow armbands out again.

Someone explain to me if the Saudis are bound by FIFA financial fair play? Clubs are ordered to not spend more than the income that they generate, and that they must balance their books over the course of three years. So either the cost of a match ticket is ridiculously expensive or somehow they are going to get their games broadcast I can't see any significant money coming in. Either way I can't see anyone wanting to watch the games FIFA will soon be owned by the Saudis. It is already as they have clearly bought Infantino

Saudi Arabia will probably back an Australian bid for some other time, if they haven't already sent them a big wad of cash or something.
What's to hold Saudi Arabia accountable for anything if they're the only bidders? Isn't it due to be the first of a massively expanded tournament too?
The group matches of the 2030 World Cup in Latin America is a massive con and means South America misses out on a proper tournament - the whole competition should've been joint hosted by 2 or 3 of Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, and Paraguay.

Another bizarre Saudi football story.
Saudi authorities postponed Turkish cup Final because fans turned up with banners saying 'Peace at Home, Peace in the World'!
The Turkish Super Cup final between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce in Saudi Arabia was postponed because of a disagreement between the clubs and the host nation's authorities.
The match was scheduled to kick off at 17.45 GMT but, with thousands of fans inside Riyadh's Al-Awwal Stadium, it was called off at 19:00.
The Turkish Football Federation and the clubs blamed "problems in organising" the match after authorities refused banners referring to the revered father of modern Turkey Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
Galatasaray and Fenerbahce were expected to arrive for the showpiece between Turkey's league champions and cup winners with banners bearing Ataturk's words "Peace at home, peace in the world", which the Saudi authorities would not allow.
The players were also not allowed on to the pitch wearing T-shirts bearing Ataturk's image.
Ataturk launched a programme of revolutionary social and political reform to modernise Turkey, serving as its first president from 1923 until his death in 1938.
These reforms included the emancipation of women, the abolition of all Islamic institutions and the introduction of Western legal codes, dress, calendar and alphabet, replacing the Arabic script with a Latin one.

34 goals in 34 games. Not sure he’s to blame entirely🤔 Just another coincidence then 🤣 Maybe he should go play for his boyhood club Nacional of Madeira , and maybe buy them whilst he’s at it. That would be properly giving back to his people. Time to start spending rather than continuing to accumulate. BM

Too many owners treating clubs as “franchises”. At some point, it wouldn’t shock me to see them try to move clubs around the country like they do in the US.
