My dad watches a lot of Barnsley and he seemed to think he played a lot at RWB.
Regardless, he wasn’t involved enough from an attacking perspective.
Not a long term solution.

He was a bit raw when he first came and played out of position. What a player he's turned out to be.

Did the unglamorous side of the role really well last night, blocking crosses, winning back post headers from set pieces, winning flick ons from Bursik goal kicks etc.
Played really well without doing too much offensively……

No matter where he gets put he puts 101% in every game and does a job for the team with no complaints, Walters vibes.

Someone who "isn't a footballer" wouldn't make it to championship/international level. People chat utter shite on here. He runs a lot and that’s it. He was average tonight and we have this wank fest. It’s hilarious. 😁 Still trying to worm out of it?

He’s another SJW really isn’t he, works his bollocks off for the team. Wouldn’t mind seeing a bit more shithousery from him though like we got from Walters

Thought he was average last night. Probably one of the lowest in my "rate the players"
Wasn't poor let me say as I don't think anyone was, but not worthy of its own thread IMO

Some others would have seen their arse.

Could possibly get to SJW level with continued hard work but that would be difficult. Have to appreciate the young man though.

Probably my favourite player right now and I'm convinced he's good for the team.
As much as we give him shit for weaknesses like poor control, he keeps improving. Like his control and hold up play winning the free kick for Wilmot's goal.

😁 Still trying to worm out of it? Worn out of what? He can’t do basic stuff that footballers should be able to do. Could Gayle or Delap have done the job he did last night? Playing in a position I’m sure he doesn’t like (as a striker who scores goals) he’s put in a selfless dedicated shift. Versatile. Dedicated. Effective. I wonder will Neil be a fan? Actually I don’t. I’m sure he already is.

He is genuinely quick
Which is a great asset for a defender... Ashley Cole , Kyle walker etc
He also has good fitness and can run all day
You might plausibly argue ,that being able to put your foot in , keep possession in tight situations and pass it long and short , is even more important for a midfielder ,than out and out pace .
But in defence and attack , pace is vital
A useful player , almost impossible to dislike.

It’s hilarious. From someone who used to rave about Tom Edwards and Verlinden I’m not surprised you have the lazy opinion that ‘he just runs around a lot.’ Seems that if you’ve got a bit of grit about you and have energy and pace you get the label of having no technical ability or even a ‘headless chicken’ as I’ve seen him referred to before on here. Since being here Brown has continued to improve massively. I’d go as far as saying him and Tymon are our most important players at this moment in time. The club posted a video on their Facebook page of all of his goals from last season. If Rashford had scored some of those from the same tight angles, or receiving the ball with his back to the goal, turning and shooting, or just having the ability to make space for himself and be in the right place at the right time then people would be jizzing all over the place. Have a look at the video and still try and pretend he’s got limited ability or no footballing brain. He’s constantly improving and seems determined and genuinely passionate to play for us.

Hes a vital player in the starting 11 but hes also not a match winner. For me he is a beige necessity. Every team needs a player like him to work his bollocks off but also I dont get excited to see what he does on the ball. Lets just say I would never get his name on my shirt. BUT I am a fan for those in doubt Top scorer. That’s what he does with the ball *last season before I’m pulled up on it 😂
