We can't keep blaming luck. It's never been anything but a shit excuse for failure. Luck is a part of football and life, you have to accept that. Strange how our luck turns bad round about December to May each season ... Luck might explain the occasional bad refereeing decision or hit crossbar, but not months of poor performances and results

Tymon can't play left back. Thompson is out of contract, hopefully won't resign and should be used if desperate. DWP is barely getting a kick as is. Maja isn't contracted for next season. Tymon can play left back and is improving season on season. Thompson is nailed on to sign a new contract. DWP needs to show that he deserves a spot but could come good. Thought it was reported that we're obliged to buy him at the end of the loan? Not at left back he's not, he's done well at wingback but if the long term was to be a 4 we need a specialist player in. DWP did show he deserved a spot and got dropped.

These players flatter to deceive. Even your favourite Powell. Undoubtedly a talented player who we rely on to create chances for us. Even you have admitted that when he is marked he is unable to perform. He should be able to escape at least several times in a game and create something for us. He also fannies about a lot, inviting tackles. It's no coincidence that he is injured a lot. He seems to revel in showing how clever he is rather than doing any damage. Lacks pace and doesn't dictate the pace of the game or control the midfield for us. Apart from that he is a great player who should be nicknamed "LINO" because he spends so much time on the floor. He has the talent just doesn't apply it even tho' his workrate is good. Of course he doesn’t ‘control the midfield’, he doesn’t play there. I realise that but to me he is more a midfield general than a striker altho' he has done ok when he has filled in there.Even playing between the lines surely he should be able to play our strikers in with some clever accurate passing. I just wish he would free himself as soon as he sees the ball come into our midfield and the midfield's first option should be to try and get the ball to him. Surely the point of playing him where he plays is to make him harder to mark, without restricting his ability to influence the game. If he is the "get out" man for our under pressure midfielders and our main distributor then surely you can say that he is controlling the midfield. He should be our "Quarterback". For me he would be the first name on the teamsheet.

A quarterback type is a Pirlo-type, playing at the base of midfield spraying passes hither and thither, while a midfield general is Baker's role, someone with some bite who can also set the tempo. Neither of those is Powell, his strengths are his high pressing, ability to get into good positions himself and to play the killer pass. He needs to play either behind the striker as a 10 or as a second striker.

I've just watched our home game against Reading again. We scored three goals all made from our right side. Powell played for about 65 minutes. Despite not being very involved in the game he managed one shot that was blocked, scored a goal and passed the ball that Brown scored from. What would he be able to do with more involvement or a decent finisher?

I would prefer to see him play behind 2 strikers with more of a free role doing what I suggest. forget about him sweeping and organising behind our midfield. He'd be too far from where we want him to be. When i mentioned quarterback I meant in the sense that he should be our main distributor.

He has plenty of involvement for starters, even the best players find themselves marked or singled out for close attention in games. Being able to produce the moment of magic that settles a game regularly is the mark of a quality player.

Interesting times ahead hopefully. It was very noticeable in the Reading game how advanced Smith and Tymon were. Two things that stick out this season, our incessant attacking down our left side and Vrancic taking corners on our left side (as well as our right) whenever he was available. I may be wrong but the only goals I remember from corners were from corners taken from our right. Our attacking play has been ,like last year, too predictable and easy for teams to defend against.

Is it that stupid? We have an ownership who love a British manager. We have an ownership who are close to the Pulis'. We have Pulis Jnr making his way in management on the books of Beswicks, getting decent reviews. We don't think too far out of the box...... I mean it's a terrible terrible idea but fuck me they'd do it wouldn't they? It's fucking mental. The propaganda has started..........* *Hopefully not

The propaganda has started..........* *Hopefully not “I’d go in with him during the school holidays. He’d let me join in training, and on some days I’d even sit with him in the dugout.”It’s lovely to support your kids’ development Tone but you’re not supposed to keep doing it until they’re 29 years old 😂

Often speak with an unusual accent. Some even have their own interpreter to follow them around. And they eat meals that don’t always include potatoes.

I voted out. The best thing I can say for him is that he plays the young lads and he has found a corker in Baker.
Tactically bang average. Subs are woeful. I think he does the subs for the next game in the current game. He’s the bloke in Regimes that always looked like he was dancing to the next song. Nice genuine guy.
Personally I am still bitter that that prick of a CEO wasn’t sacked.
Always reactive and never proactive. Wasted millions on millions and yet stays in his role. Before moving to a larger salaried position, basically sticking two fingers up to the loyalty that afforded him his time being the apathetic prick as he resided over abject season after abject season.
The inability to read the signs of Hughes’ abject defensive abilities, the appointment and subsequent sacking of Lambert, the backing of the moronic and clueless Rowett and the bringing in of Jones and not backing him to play the football he plays he single handedly screwed SCFC. The Coates fortune was subsequently rendered impotent, other than the fact it fortunately prevents us from disappearing into obscurity.
MON is a safe pair of hands. We won’t be relegated with him. He’s a far less exciting, 21st century Alan Curbishley.

Who’s coaching all the successful clubs? We’ve been all around the British Isles in our manager appointments in the last years and they have all been gash
