Bearing in mind the quiet majority (ie. those who don’t spend their time blathering on social media) are often more conservative (with a small c) I would say that poll shows that plenty of people still have faith in the management team and certainly don’t want to start from scratch yet again. Anyway I’m sure the owners aren’t even close to calling it quits with the MON regime.

The problem is we are in a downwards spiral and with every poor result the numbers who wish to preserve the status quo will get smaller.

Just when you think this messageboard is at peak stupidity.... Is it that stupid? We have an ownership who love a British manager. We have an ownership who are close to the Pulis'. We have Pulis Jnr making his way in management on the books of Beswicks, getting decent reviews. We don't think too far out of the box...... I mean it's a terrible terrible idea but fuck me they'd do it wouldn't they? It's fucking mental.

Do the Poll again by 3 age groups - Under 25, 25 to 45, 45 and over ad you will get a better balance and weedle out the here today gone tomorrow supporters. I'm sitting next to a guy whose always had season tickets through thick and thin, same seat at the Bet 365 since it opened. He's seen it all before and he feels frustrated like the rest, but still feels we are slowly making progress.
The older ones will know the pain of chopping and changing managers, and the relative success in the long run of giving time to develop. Remember Ferguson struggled to start and he didnt have the shit to sort out like MON did. He needs one more chance and if he doesnt know his best team by end of October and we still middle table and not in the top 4 places then fair enough, hes history

What’s the average tenure for a manager nowadays?
Some people need to get with the times.

What’s the average tenure for a manager nowadays? Some people need to get with the times. Not at Watford it isn't . Have been watching managers being unveiled on Sky Sports there, popped to Happy Shopper for some 8p beans then he's been sacked by the time have arrived home.

It is a fact. Last season was a shit show, this season is worse. Nothing he has done this season suggests it would have been a mistake to sack him in May 2021. Indeed most things have suggested it would have been absolutely correct. Not getting into a pointless debate about the meaning of the word fact because you will just keep going, and going, and going even though you are wrong. It is your opinion that he should have been sacked. That's the last I'm saying on it, so fill yer boots. It’s incredible the amount of people that don’t understand the difference between subjective opinion and fact.

All of Bayern's opinions are facts. They only look like opinions. It's high time everyone realized that.

And the person who said we should definitely make the playoffs and if we signed a ball winner for midfield that he would expect even more. This was after we had played 6 or 7 games this season.

In another thread he said Sawyer should cover Powell or Vrancic. If you gave Sawyer Sir Walter Raleigh's cloak ,I don't think he would be able to cover a puddle.

I claim the £1 million prize for coming closest to getting Bayern to admit that he got something wrong. Seriously, tho' I respect that your opinions are strongly held and quite often correct, I think you too inclined to rush to judgement and then feel you have to defend your position to the death. A lot of players you championed have left the club and totally failed to impress wherever they have gone.

I like Clucas and was hoping the player from MoN’s first season would turn up with the new deal. He didn’t. I don’t feel like I have to defend shit tbh. I don’t care.

Certainly testing times for MON. If he is good enough he will come through, if he is not then he won't. From shortly after he took over it has been a constant refrain that"he has lost the dressing room". As far as I can see the players are still playing for him. even when they went 1 down against Barnsley they didn't throw the towel in. I just wish we could afford and buy a few decent players. I think most of ours are very overrated by our support. Last year quite a few people were warning us that if we didn't go up then Souttar, Powell and Campbell would be snapped up. I would be surprised if we received a bid for any one of them. Regarding Clucas: the fact that you were hoping that he would perform this season as he did at his best is typical of what we are all doing. We are all hoping that individual players will suddenly reproduce their best form consistently for the club, despite all the evidence to the contrary.

The players are fine on the whole. They’ve been managed terribly and there’s gaps in key positions (like a DM) that have hamstrung us.
