He played like he has done all season at left back. Indeed he did. Very solid. Very dependable. Got forward when he could. Defended well when he had to. I like him.

Played really well today I thought. Good signing. Dunno what this means for ND who is also great in my view.

Thought he did well today considering how long he’s been out.

McClean for somebody who trains as much as he does, is surprisingly weak as piss and gets eased off the all way to easily.

He was solid today. Best as an orthodox left back. What any Sheffield Wednesday fan would say.

Fox is decent defensively
His use of the ball frustrates mind, he usually either misplaces his pass to the opposition or twats it too long and out of play - that said he has the horrifically out of form and ineffectual McClean in front of him who is either standing on his toes, or not making the channel run he should be quickly enough.
As a youth and end of my playing days I was a left back, always said to my winger as soon as I get it, get on your bike because its coming long over your head down the channel!
Basics.

One of the worst single performances in a long time today. Literally everything he touched turned to utter shit. Allen not far behind.

I like Fox, but today he's had a mare, hopefully its a one off, unlike some Stoke players that consistently not performing.

Not good enough for a squad going forward to 20/21 who should be looking for a playoff place “at the very least”

He played like he has done all season at left back. Indeed he did. Very solid. Very dependable. Got forward when he could. Defended well when he had to. I like him. Just no. Just...no. Rubbish at left back

Rubbish today but unfair to suggest he had been crap all season as that's simply not true.

Just no. Just...no. Rubbish at left back He had a dreadful game today. No arguments from me on that one. He was terrible. His form at left back goes from really poor, to ok, to good, but then back down again. He's at best average in this terrible league. He's a really poor signing of we have any ambition. I'm doubtful we have, I think we have returned to the small time, less pressure, less fans, less trouble.

Very poor today but the whole back 4 were left unbelievably exposed by that abortion of a midfield

Today aside - Think he's not a bad squad option to have - generally solid, offers more than Smith for example both defensively and coming forward, offers versatility too being able to drop into a back 3 if needed, but we need far better if we want to compete at the top end of this league - someone quicker, with more quality and more confidence to try things coming forward. Should really have taken a gamble on Pickering - if we can find the money to sign a crock from Charlton and to loan 3 players in a pointless exercise which will be of no benefit to us long term, then surely we could have invested in a hot prospect who wouldn't have cost an arm or a leg relatively speaking both in terms of fee or wages and who has a record of contributing in an attacking sense, albeit at a lower level.

Is it me ? ...or do I need to go to spec savers for an upgrade ..... I think Morgan Fox looks very much like Hans Gruber in Die Hard ? 🤔

You really don't "get" the restraints FFP has put on the club for the next 18 months or so, do you? Loans generally come cheaper than purchases so it was inevitable that, until we are out of the woods for FFP, we would go down the loan route. RND looks a cracking player to me - I doubt we could have bought a similar player within our current FFP affected budget. Nor could we have afforded a player of Clarke's quality. Blame the club for its mistakes (over paying for moderate players and putting them on long contracts) leading to and just after relegation. But don't blame MON for the way he is being forced to operate on transfers and loans (in and out) at the moment.
