Definitely.. if he wasnt prepared to put Campbell on from the start it was obvious he should have done so earlier. Too defensive in his mindset as far as I'm concerned

We won't get promoted on this form Plenty of time left but we look midtable at best, so far, in the League. Manager needs to step things up.

Aye.
I didn’t expect anything different though.
So infuriating.
We battered brum at home not that long ago.
Keep to the same formula.

Yes, i do think that was poor from MON
Our midfield was incredibly poor today, and he took way too long to make changes.
Clucas, nightmare Mikel, off the pace completely TOB, weak and unconvincing Tymon, couldn't control anything today
I don't want to appear to be the 'hating', because i've seen those players do it so much better this season. Just today, they were cumulatively bad, and second to the ball every time.
Last 20 odds mins with campbell and powell and we were all over them.

We played some good stuff first half, different day we would go in 2 goals in front. Second half we were terrible, that's down to the manager. They came into the game first 10-15 of second half and should have changed it much earlier.

Just shit from 2pm onwards. It’s been too many times already this season in the league and it’s mostly down to O’ Neils tactics and selections.

We arent going anywhere fast. No creativity in that team he put out today. Where the hell was brown, mcclean, campbell and powell against a bang average birmingham side at home! Awful.

Four games in the league now and we’ve managed two goals and I can’t remember the opposition keeper having to make a save in any of them.
It’s scandalous with the attacking options we have available.

I'd love to know his reasoning for changing it.
Ironically this is what I thought he would be like when he first came but it was a pleasant surprise that we started to score freely.
Now he seems to be sending us out to try and sneak 1 nil wins a la Tone in his prime.
Its baffling !

This system has produced 2 great away underdog performances
And 2 dogshit games against well-drilled mid-table Championship fodder.
Jury's got to be well and truly out, especially if Campbell and Powell are going to be on the outside looking in.

Just shit from 2pm onwards. I just dont understand what goes through his head when we are playing at home. People will call players out, but most of today was down to the manager and his formation Very frustrating that the chnages only made after we went 1 down, even though we never looked like scoring and even more frustrating they were straight swaps and the rigid formation was steadfastly stuck too. Sure some of the players were below par but it is the bloody formation more than anything for me

I think he's just had too much time on his hands over the early weeks of lockdown and just started overthinking things.
Absolutely no need for it.
We were spnking teams 3, 4 and 5 last spring.

You could add Brown to that with his pace, given how off Clucas was today and also Thompson for a clearly knackered Mikel (3 games in a week).

O'Neill has been excellent for us but he's gone back to being the N.Ireland manager for some reason.Just don't get it,we had play off numbers under his management last season.

It's what I call "waiting to concede" tactics. Even against shit teams that have zero attacking threat like Brum, it's not good enough.

I lost count of the amount of times I heard Nigel Johnson say stoke walking out with the ball!! Walking!!! As bad as the managers selections are, these are bastard professionals walking around a pitch. Lazy wankers

Typical Stoke over the last 2 weeks Play well as underdogs and beat teams in higher league Poor performances against mid table Championship teams If he’s playing players on merit then Campbell and Powell need to start, Clucas needs to be dropped No cup game for a while so no excuse for too many changes Players need to be playing as a team, not as individuals who are trying to impress for their place We rescued a point

Very odd as it's very rare you can nudge and nurdle your way to promotion, isn't it? That Northern Ireland mentality isn't really suited to a promotion push. If we took the lead, we'd obviously be fine in games like this - the problem is we haven't looked like taking the lead in either home game so far. And we have no desire to force the issue like we were doing last season
