We won't get promoted on this form Why would anyone think we will get promoted? We’ve finished 16th and 15th in the last two seasons. Top half is the best this squad can achieve.

Unbeaten Birmingham you mean🤔 Indeed. So you rate them then ? No they’re just like any other team in the championship hard to beat,no team is just going to rollover. The manager needs to seriously think about the formation at home and creating more but his first job was to make us harder to beat and he’s done that,as he just said it’s a work in progress

Chill out. It’s 4 games into a season with very little preseason before it, we have a very good manager. Just need to wait for things to settle down Talk me through the ‘settling down’ process. What does that mean exactly?

We looked like we'd score. Wasted several good situations, hit the bar, just wide, one cleared off line. Our centre forward missed an open goal. We continued our trend of being very wasteful of both chances and situations and again, the opposition have one chance and score The Gregory chance apart we were feeding off scraps. Fletcher pulling the trigger on a half chance from miles out and the free kick, we barely got in their box. We didn’t manage a shot on target until we scored I don’t think? Second half what did we create before the changes? Would you stick with this system Dave? Do you think it’s better than what we used at home once MON came in last season? I'm not overly hung up on systems as we've discussed many times over the years. As I see it our best players aren't playing particularly well as yet. Powell, campbell and clucas aren't in form when they've played and fletcher and Mikel are getting up to speed. It's more personnel than systems for me and we should have won comfortably today.

Daft as it sounds I can still see us going on a good run. Problem is because of our tactics we will generally always win or lose by the odd goal. Not positive enough to go up.

Our home form under MON last season was almost automatic form. And marry that with the way we're playing away this season - and who knows?

And which allowed those two players to combine to score our goal today?

Not positive enough to go up. 5 games in, 2 points off the play offs and 5 points off the drop. It’s a process and we’ll know after 10 games how equipped for a go at the play offs we are I reckon......

How many more examples of this does he need to realise it isn't working?
It's only really worked away in the cup, and the second of those games was a more balanced 343.
Millwall were there for the taking. We created nothing. We created nothing against Blackpool. We created nothing against Gillingham. We created very little against Bristol City. We were very much second best at Preston until the ropey red.
Then we move onto today. Slow, paceless, negative dirge.
It isn't working Michael and you're excuses are fast wearing out. I don't expect 5 goal beatings, I don't expect us to win every game. I don't expect anything other than a team sent out to have go at winning a game of football and we are miles away from that.
I've been here before with this type of football. It was shit then and it's shit now.
Change it because it needs changing.

What does that mean exactly? Basically players getting fit. Only had a short preseason remember, also bit of change in terms of personnel from last season who need to get used to each other Basically stick by the old saying don’t look at the table til Christmas, particularly not this season

We scored goals away from home for fun in certain games if you recall as well but we also shipped a load. The 4 at the back system can be turned to at any time there’s no need to panic too much yet.....

Campbell can get into go positions and arguably getting a system that allows him to play right up alongside Fletcher should bring best out of him. He's not a striker that will need crosses flying in to score goals.

We really need a top goalscorer to play up front with Campbell I don't see many goals coming from Fletcher Vokes Gregory Fletcher will score soon enough, he just needs the one and there will be no looking back.

In terms of football I’ve seen us play much, much worse and at times we moved it quite well but then it never really went anywhere. At least we managed to take a point out of it. There’s no way we deserved to lose but there’s something about this that’s not working at home. It’s good to see us moving the ball around but it’s not anywhere near as effective as the way we were playing and getting results last season.

Last two seasons, Reading finished 20th and 14th (one place above us on goal difference alone)....... They sit joint 1st winning all their opening 4 games!!! So possibilities are there!!! 🤷🏼♂️

We didn’t create loads of chances today. We managed one shot on target, we barely got in their box. If we’re relying on 30 yarders from Fletcher all season something’s not right.

MON says we need to start better....we’ll get the fast and skilful players on from the start? They all have 2 weeks off now so we could have surely risked Campbell and Powell from the start?
The first goal is always so important so start to do that?!
Just an opinion as I really like MON and what he has done...he says no different home or away but psychologically I think there is..

He made me turn the radio off. Who actually doesn’t back MON? We just want him to stop shitting the bed. We know he can do it. Good, I'm glad he annoyed you Bayern. Even more maximum respect to him for that alone. Have a taste of your own medicine. You make me want to turn the Internet off 😂 So who isn’t backing the manager then?
