I didn't think it was that bad. Pretty much totally dominant.
It'll come.

Painful to watch. Hard to get enthused about anything in that game. Souttar played well. Other than that there was nothing good.

4 league games in. I expect things to settle down after 10 games.
I’m underwhelmed slightly but not particularly concerned......

I lost count of the amount of times I heard Nigel Johnson say stoke walking out with the ball!! Walking!!! As bad as the managers selections are, these are bastard professionals walking around a pitch. Lazy wankers They were literally walking. Another fustrating game watching professional footballs steal a living! Also how many times do they need to pass it around in our own half? Would love the midfield to create some space for once. Piss poor management and horrendous formation at home. 2 points lost again!

Lazy wankers No need for three centre backs and protective defensive midfielder at home to mediocre opposition, so the set up was frustating begin with, but the lack of urgency or pace was infuriating.

Played them off the park but lacked a punch, desperately disappointing. 11 shots to 4 66% to 36% possession 638 to 345 passes 84% to 68% passing accuracy You'd win with stats like that 9 times out of 10 but it just didn't happen

We were crap.

O'Neill has been excellent for us but he's gone back to being the N.Ireland manager for some reason.Just don't get it,we had play off numbers under his management last season. Very odd as it's very rare you can nudge and nurdle your way to promotion, isn't it? That Northern Ireland mentality isn't really suited to a promotion push. If we took the lead, we'd obviously be fine in games like this - the problem is we haven't looked like taking the lead in either home game so far. And we have no desire to force the issue like we were doing last season The current set up is a long term worry for me.He's resorted to type. When he took over last season it was so refreshing,we hadn't scored 3 goals in how many games and then it seemed like we were scoring goals for fun.Unfortunately the longer he's had in charge the more his style has been implented. We can set up like that away to Wolves and Villa in the cup and look like a handful, thats his M.O.What we can't do is setup like that at home to Brum. He's got loads and loads of credit in the bank and hopefully he uses these next 2 weeks to have a rethink.I have my doubts.

Praise and grumble. Adrian was just on saying we'll get a few bumps in the road but on the whole, we such trust in Michael o Neil. 100% agree with everything you said mate, if you're on here? I don't know, but you made me turned to the wireless and give you a little clap and a chunter of " well said mate, bang on" He's a fantastic manager, not above reproach of course, but if anyone doubts his fit for Stoke, then I despair.

I didn't think it was that bad. Pretty much totally dominant. It'll come. You want to be dominant though by creating chances. Looking like scoring. We were devoid massively of the creative sparks to break a team down who only came here with one objective, defend for 90 mins.

Why can't we do what Bristol City or Reading have done? Why can't we ever hope for a decent start? We’re in transition, we’ve just escaped relegation after being dead and buried last Christmas. It’s a fairly average start, but we have a solid defensive base to work from and I expect the team selection to settle down in a few games. There’s plenty of time yet.....

We continued our trend of being very wasteful of both chances and situations and again, the opposition have one chance and score

We really need a top goalscorer to play up front with Campbell I don't see many goals coming from Fletcher Vokes Gregory

1 shot on target! Start Powell and Campbell we win that at a canter. Gregory wants rodding for that 2 yard miss.

Fletcher pulling the trigger on a half chance from miles out and the free kick, we barely got in their box. We didn’t manage a shot on target until we scored I don’t think? Second half what did we create before the changes? Would you stick with this system Dave? Do you think it’s better than what we used at home once MON came in last season?

A month into a season and we are into the Qtr finals of the cup and looking tight at the back.
Playing 2 games a week was always going to be tough with only a short break.
We are still on for top half/pushing for play offs

Until he changed the system (far too late as well- it should have been done at half-time) we looked like we wouldn't have scored had we been playing until midnight. To be honest, if Birmingham had clocked off at 5pm, fucked off back down the M6, AND we'd played until midnight against nobody we still wouldn't have scored. Absolute shitshow for me.

I think he's just had too much time on his hands over the early weeks of lockdown and just started overthinking things. Absolutely no need for it. We were spnking teams 3, 4 and 5 last spring. I feel like he's done that each time he's started off. Really feels like overthinking.
