Tony has more than enough money to retire- he can’t even do that!

Couple of points Did he sign any of these players? Did he appoint the last 3/4 managers?

It's in the public domain that he gets a say, this isn't ITK stuff. Only one man thought Maguire was too expensive at £17m and Wimmer good value at £18m and it wasn't the manager. He's not Jez Moxey forcing players on the manager but as has sole responsibility for transfer negotiations he has to carry that can.

To be fair wasn’t just one man thought Wimmer was good value - Hughes dug in to make sure we signed him too.

To be fair wasn’t just one man thought Wimmer was good value - Hughes dug in to make sure we signed him too. He didn't negotiate that fee. Massively over priced, Scholes was desperate to stop Pulis getting him for Albion. We need a technical director, a proper one, who is from a football background first and foremost. The PR at the club could be better, the website, the ticket office, repeated missed opportunities with tie ups with foreign clubs... Could go on. The club needs freshening up off the pitch and that means Scholes out.

It's pointless. The board of which he's a member isn't going to sack him. If it's up to the chairman, any kind of abuse will only make him more bent on keeping his stand in, which is what Scholes is.

A few at the back of the Boothen chanted it but I'm not on about the amount of people that joined in just the fact it was even attempted, they weren't trying to sing it at the end were they! Gouranga. Should be encouraged not mocked. Unless you approve of his running of the club (Insert cringey thing here)

It was fucking pathetic and embarrassing IMO. Gouranga. I was uncomfortable with it, luckily it was snuffed out by the grandstand finish. Hopefully that's the end of it and we don't see it again.

Yes, his responsibility for the playing side doesn't really stretch beyond making funds available to managers and he has done that in spades for successive managers, the fact they have spent it in all the wrong places in recent times is hardly his fault, he has backed them to the hilt and beyond. It looked petty, vindictive, ill informed and more than a little embarrassing to me.

In the "real world" The managing director (CEO for the Americans) of a failed company will take the blame and be sacked.

Heard it coming from the Boothen but nothing around me. I was at a Vale match at the end of last season when they had their red card protest. They had the sense to have it before the game and then roar the team on during the game with no negativity.

I sang it, thought it was well justified after the shit we've been served up. A lot of people at our club have gotten away lightly with the shambles of the way it's been run.

I just hope that if Scholes brought his family round for the Boxing Day atmosphere that they were seated in such a place that they couldn't hear the chanting. I wonder if those who did chant gave any thought to how it might sound for those people?
