I’ve just read a statistic that stated 43 of the last 51 businesses Steve Dale has been a head of have been liquidated, and yet he was still allowed to take over Bury.
The football league is a complete disgrace, and Steve Dale needs a bullet, or a fast acting disease.

As much as I can’t stand my own club at the moment, the thought of it not being there makes me feel physically sick. Hopefully they emerge and fight again, to allow over 100 YEARS of history to be just deleted like a spam E-mail is disgraceful. Steve Dale, get hit by a lorry, you utter fucking cunt. It would be a shame if he got hit by a lorry, the lorry would have scratches on it and it would upset the driver.

Shame the Nevilles didn't do more rather than focusing on that plastic club up the road.

The EFL should be absolutely ashamed.
This has to lead to the game becoming more sustainable.
It’s clear it isn’t and so many clubs are a few bad years away from extinction.
And with the money in the game that shouldn’t be an issue.

This is absolutely disgraceful. Steve Dale has pissed all over the EFL simply because they deliberately chose to ignore proper due dilligence. The man is a snake and is responsible for hundreds of people being robbed blind wherever he's been. I really feel for the Bury fans.
OS.

And now the club got expelled because the EFL failed to do their job! It’s bonkers. I’ve had to turn off he interviews the Bury fans because it’s too upsetting. It’s their community and their history all taken away from them. It’s awful. Football is a huge part of people’s lives to be there one day and just gone the next. And then all cleaning the stadium this morning to get ready for Saturday - it’s horrible.

It is absolutely bizarre that a football club so central to the community could just be switched off. The first thing that should be switched off are the incomes of those at the FA who let this man near Bury FC in the first place.

The Premier League, the EFL and especially the PFA should bow their heads in shame tonight ! I feel for the fans and people of Bury tonight, you have been betrayed by the organisations that are there to protect you and your club from this cancer that is spreading throughout football. Money and greed rules football, the romance, passion and purity has been sacrificed for VAR, PayPerView, In Game Betting etc etc etc. Take a look at our own club ! We have just spent a decade feeding at the trough of the Premier League and what have we got to show for it ? Three ninth places, a FA Cup final appearance and a run in Europe ! But at what cost, a fan base dropping as fast as the teams league position, left divided, despondent, discontented and dissolusioned . Financially the decade in the Premier League has come at a huge cost and left us dependent on our wealthy local beneficiaries, god knows what will happen to us if the Coates family decided to pull the plug ? Because we and about 95% of Professional football clubs are not that far behind Bolton and Bury, they may be the first, but they sure won’t be the last.

It’s a disgrace what is happening to Bolton and Bury. I am gutted for the the genuine fans who have followed them through thick and thin. I could stomach losing my job, I could probably find a different one, but you can’t get another football team. Imagine Stoke not existing anymore You would probably live longer so not all bad. Crass, I don’t always believe in profanity on here but, really fucking crass.

It is ridiculous and the divide between the rich at the top and the rest who are struggling is just getting worse and worse. The fact that TV money has completely delinked player wages from what is sustainable from gate money and real commercial activity has led to an escalation which has sunk down the leagues- i.e. the wages paid to premier league players is astronomical and whilst this will in no way be similar in the Champ, League 1, League 2 etc it has definitely pushed up the wage brackets in those leagues to unsustainable levels. Living beyond your means and relying on a fairy godmother (investor) appears to be the only way to fund the majority of clubs these days. It’s life, rightly or wrongly those at the top earn more no natter what job or profession you are in Tennis clubs go under but where are the people asking the top tennis players to bail them out, golf clubs struggle what about asking the top golf players to bale them out? Why is it just football? What tennis club brings twenty thousand people together every fortnight for twenty weeks of the year? What golf club? What tennis club, other than one I can think of, has hundreds of years of in community solidarity to give history and context to (and I worked in Wimbledon for years and if you think most of the locals think anything of the tennis club let me disavow you) In fact, in context, didn’t the tennis club just buy the golf course there so they could plow it under for more tennis things? There are people on here, more versed than I, that can explain it to you I am sure. The man interviewed on SSN today who talked about a real ground, surrounded by terraced houses, in the town. Remember that? Not some plastic ground on an industrial park in the middle of nowhere (Reading, I’m looking at you) Or maybe a ground built on a windy hill with drone coverage of an incinerator. To paraphrase one of the most compelling speeches of the past: When they came for Northwich Victoria no one said anything. When they bulldozed The Drill Field no one spoke. When Bury went no one stood. When Bolton went, the same. If it comes time for Stoke, maybe there won’t be anyone left to speak for us. The old third division may not be as fun as it was, don’t you think?

I cant believe it's fair game to solicit for a few million from each club in the Premiership for a retirement fund for 1 fucking person in the organisation, but clubs like Bury can go south without anyone batting an eye.
Football can fuck off.

Isn't it the case that when he bought the club for a £1 they were £14m in debt, no one was buying them then it was him or what has happened now happening then. I cant understand though why the EFL have pushed them out now with a cva in place so the debt is more manageable, I hope Dale loses his shirt on this and is hounded for the rest of his life he just didnt seem to take the threat of being kicked out of the league seriously.

That is the main issue for me.Irrespective of the mismanagement of Bury, there is that much money in football nowadays(which mostly ends up in Premier League players pockets)that something could and should be put in place to prevent this from happening. Don't know what could be done and theres an argument that well run clubs would be disadvantaged but it seems a massive shame to see any football club go out of existence(even the Burslem soap dodgers)

Would they be allowed to operate under Bury FC again or would they have to do something akin to AFC Wimbledon? They'd probably have to have a slight name change AFC Bury, Bury Town or similar. The club hasn't been liquidated, I may have it wrong but im sure the club is still active, is has just been kicked out of the football league?

Can anyone tell me why Bury got done but Boltom have an extension? Both clubs have had the same process followed it's just that the process at Bury started before Bolton. Bury were also given 14 days to sort a takeover, 17/18 days ago

Thanks to the legal status of a company, there are a lot of people who have made a lot of money in this country by setting up companies and hiding behind the legal status of the company as a separate legal person.
