Cand N have pulled because od dodgy dealings see link linkThat is a bit complicated for the non finance mind Basically, Bury owed £7m. His daughters partner set up a company and bought the debt for £70,000. So the club now owes Dales family member £7m and they got to vote on all of this and voted for the creditors process to happen (which is why they will be expelled) and have agreed to accept £1.75m for a debt they paid £70,000 for.

Cheers, sounds a bit fraudulent to me, a bit of insider knowledge. I sort of got it, and the setting up the company 2 days before the CVA meting is a bit of a 'bury him in a concrete bridge support type of trick' if you've ripped off the wrong guys

Unless there’s anything in the EFL rules about it. People buy debts all the time at a cut price in order to get voting rights to wind the company up and have all the assets sold to get more than they paid for the debt back. Big banks don’t tend to do it anymore because of the bad publicity but they instead sell the debt for really cheap (in order to get a little bit of money back) to another company who specialises in doing just that. There’s hundreds of those companies about.

With the money you save each month, put it towards your season ticket for your local team. Call me weird but I haven't had a Sky Sports subscription for nearly 10 years. Haven't missed it one bit.

So the debt his daughter's partner bought was mortgaged against the stadium? And so his family own the mortgage now and any money they get from selling it will go to his family (he would otherwise have got nothing as a shareholder) ...jesus fucking christ. What a fucking snake.

It’s a disgrace what is happening to Bolton and Bury.
I am gutted for the the genuine fans who have followed them through thick and thin.
I could stomach losing my job, I could probably find a different one, but you can’t get another football team.
Imagine Stoke not existing anymore

If both Clubs are saved in some way, then its only a matter of time before the next club in crisis comes to the fore
The sad thing is maybe the only way forward no is for a club to go out of business & actually take a better look at football in general. From the Football League, to the owners, to the "money" coming in from Sky, the whole business of football in general in this country stinks to high heaven (and yup, when we look at ourselves we are included)

Just more proof that this fit and proper persons test is a complete myth.
Also further proof that Jim White is just a gigantic penis with a pair of legs.

At least we are owned by Stoke fans and not some vanity project for an owner with no real ties to the club.
